  1. Pelle Lindbergh also makes a great case for this franchise being cursed. A Vezina trophy winner who passed away in a a car crash right at the start of his prime.

  2. Do a list of every Flyer player and coach that left from 2000 to now and went on to win cups elsewhere. It’s a real long list.

  3. Thank you for helping the NHL community have more knowledge about a historic franchise since the past 10 years has looked horrible

  4. Tortorella is liability. They missed playoffs just because of him last season.
Uncanny ability to crush moral of a team.

  5. How in gods name could you do this video without touching on Pelle Lindbergh? I live through that era and his death was a nuclear bomb dropped on the team. Nothing that had/has happened to the franchise comes anywhere close to the damage done when he died

As for the last decade, that’s 100% on managerial incompetence

  6. was overall a negative view of the franchise didnt even touch on the spirit of the fans and the moments we do have in the limelight we still look fondly on. the broad street bullies.

  7. Those Lindros, LeClair, Renburg, Hextal, Recchi, Brind'amour, Desjardins, Chris Therien years were super fun for me personally, being a young impressionable 8, 9, 10, 11 year old young buck. Plus, it was a way different game back then compared to what web have now. Hockey was the shit.

  8. You forgot to add the fact that the flyers lost their home dominance over their rival penguins in 1989 after dominating them for 15 years straight at home in the Spectrum.

  9. The Flyers lost out on Kane because a guy "missed" an empty net. I use quotes because you can see the puck bounce off of something before he shoots it.

  10. Oh, and what about the Canucks top pick Luc Bourdin? Gets a new motorcycle and kills himself on his first ride in the eve of his first season!?

  11. Not only was Nolan Patrick always hurt, he was a bust. There was many questions about his personality and work ethic. Flyers could’ve had Makar, Heiskanen or Petterson instead.

  12. 2010 run should of also included the 3-0 series come behind win against Boston.. not sure how that isn't mentioned lol

  13. There was two more injuries to add you had the young D man who was there best prospect after Giroux don’t remember his name he was very good then he tore his shoulder never recovered then Mike Rathje D man from San Jose in free agency and he had a severe back injury never recovered

  14. Bernie parent getting blinded as well, prolly would have won more cups if he didn’t retire

  15. "Best player not in the NHL"? Anybody remember the last player we got based on that same description? It didn’t go great

  16. Can’t forget the death of Pelle Lindbergh. As a Flyers fan, it’s been 33 years of heartbreak for me.

  17. They want to be the old Flyers (Ed's ownership), then it's a complete change in philosophy, but still hire from within. Chaotic. Comcast should sell to true hockey people. Even the Hershey Company knows how to staff and run a hockey team.

  18. What about Dmitri Tertyshny. Died in a boating accident in Kelowna, BC. He fell out of the boat and got his throat cut by the prop. It was 1999, I think.

  19. And GM Clark traded brad mccrimmon because he wanted 250k instead of 125k. That pretty much ended the Flyers 80s team.

  20. 2010 was the season I started following the team. I was 8 years old. Looking back, the highlight of that playoff run was reverse sweeping Boston. We just ran into a machine in Chicago. Also the 2000 Conference Final choke was kind of deserved. Bobby Clarke shafted Roger Neilson, who had cancer.

  21. I may only be 17. But being a flyers fan makes me feel old. I just hope we win a cup before I fall.

  22. I am glad my father didn’t live long enough to see Tortorella become coach. He could not stand him.
