Pelle Lindbergh also makes a great case for this franchise being cursed. A Vezina trophy winner who passed away in a a car crash right at the start of his prime.
How in gods name could you do this video without touching on Pelle Lindbergh? I live through that era and his death was a nuclear bomb dropped on the team. Nothing that had/has happened to the franchise comes anywhere close to the damage done when he died
As for the last decade, that’s 100% on managerial incompetence
was overall a negative view of the franchise didnt even touch on the spirit of the fans and the moments we do have in the limelight we still look fondly on. the broad street bullies.
Those Lindros, LeClair, Renburg, Hextal, Recchi, Brind'amour, Desjardins, Chris Therien years were super fun for me personally, being a young impressionable 8, 9, 10, 11 year old young buck. Plus, it was a way different game back then compared to what web have now. Hockey was the shit.
You forgot to add the fact that the flyers lost their home dominance over their rival penguins in 1989 after dominating them for 15 years straight at home in the Spectrum.
The Flyers lost out on Kane because a guy "missed" an empty net. I use quotes because you can see the puck bounce off of something before he shoots it.
Not only was Nolan Patrick always hurt, he was a bust. There was many questions about his personality and work ethic. Flyers could’ve had Makar, Heiskanen or Petterson instead.
There was two more injuries to add you had the young D man who was there best prospect after Giroux don’t remember his name he was very good then he tore his shoulder never recovered then Mike Rathje D man from San Jose in free agency and he had a severe back injury never recovered
They want to be the old Flyers (Ed's ownership), then it's a complete change in philosophy, but still hire from within. Chaotic. Comcast should sell to true hockey people. Even the Hershey Company knows how to staff and run a hockey team.
What about Dmitri Tertyshny. Died in a boating accident in Kelowna, BC. He fell out of the boat and got his throat cut by the prop. It was 1999, I think.
2010 was the season I started following the team. I was 8 years old. Looking back, the highlight of that playoff run was reverse sweeping Boston. We just ran into a machine in Chicago. Also the 2000 Conference Final choke was kind of deserved. Bobby Clarke shafted Roger Neilson, who had cancer.

Do a list of every Flyer player and coach that left from 2000 to now and went on to win cups elsewhere. It’s a real long list.
Thank you for helping the NHL community have more knowledge about a historic franchise since the past 10 years has looked horrible
Nah I I’m still gonna be a flyers fan for life
I have always said, if they don't make that Lindros trade, they probably win the Cup
unreal editing bro, can't wait to see more content!
The curse of the Broad Street Bullies.
Tortorella is liability. They missed playoffs just because of him last season.
Uncanny ability to crush moral of a team.
Where did you get your information from????

Bill Burr was right, Philly is a crap city. Serves them right.

Scotty Stevens laid his ass out! I was there!
Picture of Hextall when talking about Leach lol

Getting to the finals is really fucking hard. This franchise is not cursed
Y’know I hate the flyers but I can’t help but feel bad for Eric Lindros
cursed? They have a cup f off
That win percentage is crazy when you consider how much older the habs and the bears are
I've been a Flyers fan my whole life. It really has been a waste of time.
Oh, and what about the Canucks top pick Luc Bourdin? Gets a new motorcycle and kills himself on his first ride in the eve of his first season!?
football: bills basketball: 76ers baseball: Cubs Hockey: Flyers
Tim Kerr belongs in the Hall of Fame
Tim Kerr’s son Nick goes to my school

2010 run should of also included the 3-0 series come behind win against Boston.. not sure how that isn't mentioned lol
the fact this dude couldn’t find any great moments this team has had shows the bias he has towards them
I hate it here

Why are you showing Ron Hextall when talking about Reggie Leach winning the Conn Smythe?
Bernie parent getting blinded as well, prolly would have won more cups if he didn’t retire
"Best player not in the NHL"? Anybody remember the last player we got based on that same description? It didn’t go great
Can’t forget the death of Pelle Lindbergh. As a Flyers fan, it’s been 33 years of heartbreak for me.
7:45 wow lol didn't expect to see my Sabres up so high!
Pretty sure sure that Hextal not Leach

And GM Clark traded brad mccrimmon because he wanted 250k instead of 125k. That pretty much ended the Flyers 80s team.

Reggie leach yet show hextall
In 1980 the flyers had a 35 game streak without a loss.
I may only be 17. But being a flyers fan makes me feel old. I just hope we win a cup before I fall.
Thanks for making me feel good and worse as a flyers fan 😂
Carter Hart case is bullshit
I am glad my father didn’t live long enough to see Tortorella become coach. He could not stand him.
Great video, go Pens.
It's unfortunate I think the flyers have one of the best jerseys/ color schemes in all of sports.
