The Canucks hit rock bottom today.
The job of the coaches is to get the most out of the players that they coach and I don't believe that they have accomplished that of lately.
Another game lost in OT, we never win there, and on top of it, back to a multi goal let down, great way to end the year here.
Demko, two bad goals allowed.

The only player on the Canucks playing well is Hughes. But he can't carry the team to the playoffs on his own.
Demko was brutal on the Beniers whiffed glove save and the second goal that went in from behind the goal line was bad as well. The Canucks had a 2% chance probability of losing the game with less than 4 minutes to play to the reeling Kraken who were on their way to 6 straight losses.
We had this game in the bag!!!….They stopped playing at the Third period and the Kraken kept putting pressure….They stopped playing and let off the gas…. What a joke…😡

Canucks just basically stopped competing after the Joshua disallowed goal. Too much mental fragility in this group. I thought it might just be a lack of confidence in the goal tending and Demko would be a confidence boost, but it's clearly deeper than that.
Canucks don’t have a clue in playing 3 on 3. Don’t have any strategy.
Why is Tyler Mayers into 3 on3? Brutal resigning.
Toch responsible for overtime strategy.Puck control mandatory. Put puck back in own end for strategic line change. No puc freezing by goaltender.
Coaching staff needs to face some criticism. Brutal.
Being a fan of this team is fucking brutal. People give our management way too much credit for trades – we never bring meaningful roster changes to the lineup. Just so tired of watching 6 3rd line defenseman and a couple guys who we pay like Mcdavid and draisatl but play like neugent Hopkins. I'm over it
I was at this game and for 55 minutes I was really impressed at how well they dealt with missing Hughes and Pettersson. Then all of the sudden it was just a complete meltdown where nobody could do anything right. The part that pissed me off was the way they were clearly prioritizing getting Boeser his hat trick with the empty net rather than just taking care of business and focusing on getting the win.
In the words of repetitive Rick Dhaliwal. They need a few more large men with soft hands willing to embrace the hard.

This is what the Canucks would have been like if they didn't have Hughes trying to keep them in games every night.
Top 2 dmen out of this game. Demko is almost at pre season level. Off the back and then pushing a rebound back into the slot. That about sums it up. Myers on 3-3. Interesting.

With or without Hughes it would still result with a loss for canucks. There is no game awareness whatsoever. They are not fighting for each other. Hughes can only do so much.
The Choke ? How about last playoff game vs Preds 2 down to tie it? That was epic as well!
Let's face facts, without Hughes and Hronek, the rest of the defense are "also rans". They're bottom level D Men, and they just aren't going to cut it without everyone jumping in to help them. Demko is a shadow of his former self, and we're going to have to think long and hard about his next contract if he keeps playing like this. Toccet seems to have an allergic reaction to calling a time out. He should have done that when things were falling apart. He never seems to use them, for whatever reason. They better dedicate a practice to OT play, they are completely hopeless in OT.
I think the Canucks will miss the playoffs this year…
