Yes, it's apparent that the Hawks are in a great position to obtain more draft capital.
However, the organization will be facing some tough major decisions as to which prospects will stay or be traded, so as not to log jam the prospect pool.

I think unfortunately we only have one prospect that’ll be ready for the 2025/26 season. That’s Slaggert or Dach. All the college kids might earn an end of season game or two this year but none of them will be ready for 2025/26 NHL action. meaning AHL for Green, Moore, Rinzel, Lardis, Levshunov, and Thompson. We’re not looking to add at this trade deadline. so no logjam next year for prospects. There’s going to be at least five slots available on the roster next year. Korchinski will take one of those slots for Martinez. Nazar will take another slot for Maroon. Best thing we can hope for is to add through free agency a legitimate top six forward that will sign for term at a reasonable price. We are still in rebuild mode. Not win now mode.

reichel doing well, bedard is the best player of his draft class, Allen a pleasant surprise. Vlasic a local Chicago kid is blossoming into a top pair D-man and signed long term. Nazar is learning on the fly and dominated the AHL. Korch, Kaiser getting more time in AHL and both proven they can play in NHL. Lardis is tearing up OHL. Moore playing in WJC. Levshunov is playing well in his first year in AHL. Theres talk of Hobey Baker award for Rinzel as a sophmore in College. All under 24 years old. We got plenty of capspace to add FAs. We have 2 1st round picks in 2025 draft. The future is so bright I gotta wear shades.
