Two of my favorite games of the 2024 year are definitely that game against the Lightning back in April where Bunting scored to give the Penguins the lead late and actually put them in a playoff spot that day and also that Red Wings game where Karlsson redeemed himself by scoring in OT to keep their playoff hopes alive, that was also Sidney Crosby's 1,000 assist on Karlsson's goal.
My other one was the April 2nd game last year against the Devils where The Penguins were down 3-1 in the third period and just exploded for five unanswered goals to win 6-3 at the Rock in Newark and it was that game that made you feel that they were a team of destiny at that point.

Nieto just came back and the PK was fine without him. Eller was good on the PK and they removed him and the PK didn't suffer.
Mike Sullivan likes defensive forwards for his bottom six, it is what it is. I really liked doc-eller-jesse p. , I really felt like they had a line that could change momentum and shift the ice. They went in a different direction and now our third line barely produces and has a rotating cast. I'm not mad at the direction their taking, more or less watching and enjoying the ride.
Well, Puljujarvi cleared so he is going to remain with the Penguins and will probably be called back up if someone gets injured or when one of the forwards is traded.
Yeah I don't understand waiving Puljujarvi. There's at least 5 forwards on the roster who I would play Puljujarvi over. Nieto, Acciari, O'Connor, Hayes, and Beauvillier. This just proves that Sullivan values defensive forwards more than anything.
Puljujarvi could be a Montreal Canadien, Duck, Sabre, Ranger, Bruin, Oiler, Blackhawk, Kraken, or Flame. He could also go to the AHL just like Valterri Puustinen. Laine and Puljujarvi could be a lethal line in Montreal. Jesse Puljujarvi sucks. He was drafted 4th overall (ahead of Matthew Tkachuk) and can't play with Sid, Geno, McDavid, or Draisaitl. His competition is Rakell, Rust, Glass, Tomasino, and Puustinen. His competition isn't 4th liners Matt Nieto and Noel Acciari. Bunting and Geno need a right winger so where is Puljujarvi? He's a no show. Puustinen is already a right shot Finnish AHLer if we need one.
Most assists with one franchise NHL history: 1. Ray Bourque: 1,111A, 2. Wayne Gretzky: 1,086A, 3. Steve Yzerman: 1,063A, 4. Sidney Crosby: 1,034A. Crosby is now after Yzerman and Gretzky. 1,111-1,034 = 77 assists. If Sid remains a Penguin he'll supplant Ray Bourque for the most home assists in NHL history. NOW THAT IS A MILESTONE!!!!!
