Ref got caught on a open mic looking to fix games. the ref got an early retirement and we have to pretend we didn't see it.

  2. Yeah we were a bit asleep at the wheel but without that officiating that game is at least going to OT

  3. Starting to like the doc- glass- tomasino line. It has a different balance. Let's hope it produces.

  4. The missed call on rust on a potential breakaway was brutal. Even the EK tripping call was brutal all game soft penalties called. For both teams, they really did know how to kill a good fast game

Not even mad at the boys they battled.

  5. I didn't see the game but I didn't have to, refs typically suck not just against pens its every night they blow it for some team

  6. Happy New Year guys!
For me, its simple. I'm glad they're playing better, more structured, less bad pinches, better in the neutral zone, but they're simply not good enough to compete for the playoffs. They'll probably miss the playoffs by 3 to 5 points. Average goaltending from both Jarry and Ned. I still want to see what Malkin and Letang will play like deep into February and March, if they fall off the cliff. They're a 8th to 10th place team in the conference.

  7. Personally, my mindset is that, if you're going to have a rule on the books…enforce it…every single time. If you're not going to call it, every time that it happens, then get rid of the rule.
The players will adapt their game to more consistent calls.

  8. Just the other day, I was talking to a friend and said that I don't understand why they've kept DOC in the lineup when he was regularly being out performed by Puljujarvi. I don't know if Jesse was still in Sully's doghouse for not taking practice as seriously as Sully felt he should.
I do have to give DOC some credit for this game. Hopefully, he can keep it up.

  9. I just want to see some more consistent effort from the team, in 2025. Playing a lesser team, it's about 50/50 whether they dominate them or forget to show up for the game. Playing a better team, it's about 50/50 whether they power through to a win, or get blown out of the water.
The Pens stars can only do so much, we need the young guys step up. Show them the Nikita Grebenkin clip "forecheck, backcheck, paycheck".

  10. OUCH. Pens lost to the Red Wings who suck. I basically look to see if Sid scores points when the Pens lose.

  11. The non call on rust cost pens the game. It's a 4 on 4 then and detroit probably doesn't score. The pens are getting to inconsistent. They have won games with 20 shots on net. That's a high shooting percentage that won't last. They need to put more shots on net even if they're bad looks. Get the puck on goal and anything can happen. Also and lot of fans haven't liked his game this season but they missed kris letang. I think they had one right shot defenseman in karlsson and he went out for a while.

  12. Hey guys! Great episode.

    Hypothetical question:

Given the lack of depth in the 2025 NHL Draft in comparison to the 2026 Draft, would you be willing to part with a 2025 first-rounder if they could somehow land an additional 2026 first for Pettersson or someone like Rakell?
