I used to never watch the juniors cause it wasnt fun watching Canada beat up other teams 12-2 like an 8th grader bullying someone in jk. Now I dont watch it cause team Canada stinks

Should of had Gardiner MacDougall (Moncton Wildcats) coach. 9 national championships with UNB, Memorial Cup with Saint John Seadogs(2022), Under 18 World Gold medal (2024). Dave Cameron as a head coach, one championship 22 years ago. He got it all wrong from team selection, game plan – everything.

I think if Canada was trying to win the WJC, they shouldn't have snubbed guys like Sennecke, Parekh, Michael Misa even, like it's like whoever built team Canada didn't want them to win, atleast Easton Cowan is on the team
This Junior tournament is getting old. Push it to every two years. And find a way to get all the junior players to play. I had absolutely zero interest in this tournament this year and I once loved it.
Perfectly said Steve – on Team Canada’s performance. Dave Cameron had me wanting to throw my ottoman through my tv. (Unfortunately I have a bad shoulder so I just kicked the ottoman instead. Annnd now I have a bad foot). Worst coaching I’ve seen in hockey in a looooooooong time. It’s like someone told him .. hey, how about this time we just go ahead and do the opposite decisions and tactics that our good coaches would do.. then I’ll give you 1 mil for your terribleness.

Nylander is a great scorer but he’s not worth what he’s being paid. He’s defensively lazy, avoids corners when he might get hit, and floats far too much. He could be so good if he really tried but history says otherwise.
You nailed the issues with Team Canada but not just the coach but the whole Hockey Canada Group.
I've always felt that one of the problems with the World Juniors – particularly for Canada – is that you have a bunch of teenagers all trying to punch their ticket to the NHL draft top 10 on every shift. They hop over the boards and TRY to make the highlight reels every night. Now, they're kids, and it's hockey in Canada! There's always going to be that element, but they have to try to reign these kids in. Because it's how kids dislocate shoulders skating full throttle into the net with no pressure. And it's how they lose all discipline and take 10 penalties in a game. Fundamentals. Those magical moments are NEVER manufactured. Take a breath. Play the moment. Keep your wits about you, and when you get that chance, by all means, take it. But you can't force those things, and the consequences of failing are painful – all too often literally.

Kinda bummed that Steve didn't mention how well Carter George played. The kid almost single-handedly drug his team to the finish line. Should be celebrating his tourney despite his team being dysfunctional af!

I've been saying thos for a minute now. We need a McMann on every line. He worked with 34 and 16. He worked with 91 and 88 and he worked with 11 and 89. The kid is a certified beautician.

Easton Cowan was HORRIBLE for Canada but the fact that he was even on the ice for the last game falls on Cameron. It just seemed like he rolled the lines and hoped for the best. Just pathetic.
I never would have thought there would come a day where I give Canadian Juniors the Leaf treatment by switching off the game immediately and watching the Leafs 😅

I was trying to figure out TSN's logic of them making out the officiating as the big bad of the tournament. Was the officiating bad? Yes, but the bigger issues were Dave Cameron, the roster makeup, and a team with such severe discipline problems that they made a kid with ADHD look like a seasoned drill sergeant.
Cowan was brutal in the tournament…too much attitude and far too little effort…he looked awful and will NOT help the Leaf’s when his time comes…entitled for sure for some reason.
The only thing Nylander is suffering from is his yearly bought with DOGFUCKITIST! Just par for the course with him. He gets it from his Daddy.
