Rasmussen may fit with the big guy group Buffalo has. Maybe a guy like Berggren or Kasper to round it out and some picks from one side or the other. Ras and Shai Buium maybe. Something like that. Solidifying our D would be huge. Would have to have discussions with Byram’s agent to have an extension guaranteed.
I think Byram had alot of time playing with maker and knows how to play with a puck mover which is probably steveys thought pellika is coming
Y'all make me laugh…Byram wants to get paid, he ain't coming cheap. He is a RFA with arbitration so the Sabres can string him along with 1 year deals if they so choose. Adams has also stated he wants good player for good player so all those draft picks you talk about mean nothing other than if Det needs to add. You said the Sabres need forwards so offer Debrincat win-win for both teams. I'm not a fan of Adams but I'll give him credit for one thing, he's patient when making a trade, maybe to patient but he'll wait til he gets what he wants. Sabres are going nowhere so there's no rush to do anything. It's the same with Cozens, he's signed long term so there's no rush unless the right deal comes along. Actually the summer makes more sense when teams have more cap space to make these type of trades and the amount of buyers increases

Obviously there is interest for a trade, its just what assets are moving to buffalo from detroit? There are desirable prospects in detroits system but are the ones steve is willing to move enough? And is a bottom or middle six forward on the wings current roster enough? I can see some picks being moved but again it would likely be middle round picks. Seems like detroit isnt going to make a trade without giving up some kind of significant asset.

Byron might work, Det needs cheap but he would be 2nd line Def. Seider/Edvinsson is top line. We also got Alex Sandin Pellikka coming next year, dude is a defensive scoring machine.

Petry left the CBJ’s game and did not return. Thankfully he won’t be returning to the Wings next year either.
The problem is Detroit will need to trade pieces that Buffalo wants. Too often I hear fans say Ok yea Detroit can trade a 3rd and a 5th for Byram who is one of the better defensemen in the league. Buffalo is not taking a broken hockey stick and 2 pucks for Byram.
Buffalo also wants to get better right now. Thing is I dont see Debrincat waving his NTC to go to Buffalo. I think the starting point is Kasper, Tuomisto and an unprotected 1st because its a weak draft year. The problem is I see fans say no to Kasper, then to the 1st then to Tuomisto, and go back to here is 2 broken sticks and 3 pucks.
So byram with petry. Seider and chairot. So youre putting edvinsson whos probably better than both byram and power in the long run. On the 3rd with holl or gustaffson? Naw
