  1. Our Wings our 5th in the league on the power play. If we keep moving our feet, we’ll get more power plays and more wins!

  2. There's plenty of talent on this team and the scheme Lalonde was running (dump and check) didn't work, I never cared for it, Todd came in and told them to put pucks on net, that's what were seeing. Good things happen when you put pucks on net. Lalonde's philosphy dosen't work that's why we have been out shot all year until Todd took over.

  3. Great game today guys felt like they played hard the whole game which is all we can ask for

  4. I have been proven at this point in my mind that the players were 100% done with Lalonde and were just waiting for Steve to make the move. This is a completely different team. They’re playing like they knew they desperately needed a change of systems. LGRW.

  5. Love the new energy. Shame it took so long to make the switch. It was clear last December that Fester was a dud who didn't know how to utilize the players he had. He might have made a good second in Tampa but he showed the entire league why he'll never be headcoach material.

  6. I love Alex Lyon so much… He's my favorite personality on the team and he's honestly a really fun goalie to watch… I think we still haven't even hit his ceiling yet either, he's only gonna get better

  7. I love how McLellan thinks of coaching as teaching. I think he even calked it a "classroom" ib these comments. His approach is the answer to those who say coaching at this level doesnt matter.

  8. Good game boys 4 game home stand coming up starting with a huge divisional game against Ottawa a win would be big

  9. What a change of pace! This team looks completely rejuvenated with this fresh start. There's still a lot of hockey left, anything is possible for this season. Detroit's destiny is clearly in their hands!

  10. Told you all, We were gonna win 10/11 with Tmac taking over. It'll actually be more when we SMOKE TB to take over the 1st WC spot in a cplgames.
See you in the PLAYOFFS !!!!!!!!

  11. Crazy how some people actually thought changing the coach wouldn't matter

  12. Lyon should be thanking the goal posts as well………5 times they bailed him out haha! Seider was an absolute beast in the last 2 minutes. Seider seems to have changed his game since Todd came in. Seems less reckless and in control of his game. Didn't mind the pairing of Johansson and Edvinsson either.

  13. Honestly big credit to Derek Lalonde. He stressed a game style that was a great foundation to elite play. Now that we have that history, we're more ready for the future. LGRW!!

  14. Alex Lyon is the true starter on this team talbs is good but I have more faith in the lion king !! I really hope we extend him 2-3 years 2.5-3 mill

  15. Lalonde's style was playing to not make a mistake. During his very first press conference after being hired he mentioned always making the safe and simple play, and that means you clear your zone by randomly firing the puck up ice, you dump the puck as soon as you get to the red, and you try to sit on a one goal lead for half the game. It's the kind of game you play when you have no skill, taking all the creativity out of the team, and telling players that your leader doesn't think you're any good. It also takes a guy like Berggren and strips him of his strengths, and forces him to try and play with what are his weaknesses. He isn't a good 200 foot defensive winger, so trying to make him one takes away from the advantages of a guy like that, his offense. Like TM said, just play fucking hockey, and it seems like the team collectively took a breath of relief.

  16. Totally different team under McLellan. St.Louis went from last to first in 2019. Why not here?? Back in the playoff race for sure.
