  1. Face-off % would drop, hits per game, game winning goals, players standing up for teammates, and pp % would all drop if Jt was traded. Nothing would change if Ep40 was traded though.

  2. The big thing I noticed in Junior's this year for Canada was the plethora of tap-in opportunities missed for what seemed 'I wanna be the hero' moments. It looks like Canada Hockey players have adopted the American 'Ice Hockey' style.

  3. JT needs to go. Hopefully before Petey comes back. The room just isnt right anymore.

  4. So Hughes plays at Norris/Hart level without Hronek. All I hear is they need another puck moving top 4 Dman. Dudes, he's right there on IR. Split them up.

  5. Fine. Let's see the return. Hughes is the only irreplaceable player on the team. I wouldn't trade high picks or top prospects either. But roster players are fine. I just want to see the return. That's what matters. And for all those people who were glad that the Canucks gave up Bo and kept Miller, how's that working out right now? All Miller does is complain in interviews and act like he doesn't care some nights. His game is physicality, and if he's not using his body, he's not effective. Pettersson plays a completely different game. If some fans don't see that, maybe they need to rewatch Blazing Saddles.

  6. I'd love to see Petey traded for Brady Tkachuk. and a centre if possible. We need to throw in someone else too.maybe Boeser. We have a way better chance to win a cup with JT and Brady than Petey and Boeser.

  7. Personally I am getting a wee bit tired of loser media personalities creating stories out of speculation and nothing of empathy. All this nonsense speculation about player moves in the Canucks is not helping the team or the fans. God you guys should get a life.

  8. That's why Hughes is the Captain and not JT. If you are going to be a leader in the room, you need to understand different personalities and how they tick. Being a leader is about getting the most out of your teammates, not crushing their egos.

  9. Vancouver is a city, and we are fans. Why it is always referred to as a “market”? Do you just see fans as consumers? I am quite sure that corporate sport media is completely unaware of how they continually express this bias.

  10. We need to protest the media in Vancouver by not listening/watching them! They are trying to break up the team

  11. Elias' talent, hockey IQ and ego wont accept advice from a player who he deems is lesser than him especially when, as Elias has said, he is trying hard to be better.
Whether he is trying hard or not is debatable but that's what i think the issue is.
Not excluding that Tocchet also might not be Elias type of coach.

  12. Of course things seemed out of control! They were! The horrific officials took full control and screwed Canada at every turn! You can beat the other team, but you can't beat the referees!

  13. This is crazy. It is the overall Canadian market fault. In my opinion, Canucks over achieved last year and this year they are slightly under achieving because of injuries and shooting percentage coming back to normal etc. What I am 100% confident is that this Pete and Miller thing is way way over blown. They themselves have said it a few years back that they do not hang around together but respect each other. It is not the first year they played together and they have had team winning and loosing seasons. Just look at the team dynamics of the Bulls team in the Last dance and that is prime evidence that this issue is getting way over blown. The media should focus on why the team is not performing (ie defense) and what fixes they have ie trade options, prospects when will be ready. This would take an ounce of professionalism and research but instead are lazy and pursuing sensationalism / clicks that the team would get better by just having a better locker room culture. When Hovart and others say this is way over blown, the media ignore these voices and focus on Brad Richardson's comments that can add fuel to the fire. Tabloid journalism at is finest which is fine but please don't act like you are some how Canucks fans or true sports journalist.
