FYI – You missed Dimitri Orlov going to Boston in that Hatthaway trade. Orlov was who fetched the 1st. Hatthaway was a 2nd TOPS in terms of the value. Hockey DB has an error on that trade, because a 3rd team was involved (Minny).

Home ice isn't a big deal for me in the playoffs. These guys have stunk at home in the playoffs for several years. Wherever the end up, they've got to win. That's it.
Willie last year had 40 goals this year on pace for 46 Last year he had 98 points This year on pace for 86. At the moment he is -4 for the season 2nd worst to Rielly Willie has amazing talent skating forward. Skating back not too much. He needs to be a 200 ft player if we are to win the cup!!! Willie only plays 5 on 5 and the power play not the PK With all of this goals and points why is he -4 ??

With all due respect man, I’m not just saying this as a flyers fan but Hathaway was deliberately shoved into the goalie, he was heading towards the goalie but tried to avoid it and McCabe steered him right into him, the fact all announcers from leafs and flyers both said McCabe did that. Then McCabe being salty and shoving someone’s head into the ice is unsportsmanlike. Hathaway falling on top of him with his ELBOW was hopefully unintentional and if it was intentional that should definitely be a fine. But if you see Hathaway in the wrong, you’re not ok!

Steve, Imma be honest here, Jake McCabe was in the wrong here.
He was hooking Hathaway, impeding his movement and causing him to hit Hildeby.
I still think the Flyers getting penalized for it was a good call, because the fact is: the goalie was hit and interfered with
But acting like McCabe was right to harass Hathaway because "he ran into his goalie" is simply not true.
Apparently McCabe is injured, so I wish him a speedy recovery,
but it could've been prevented had he not pushed and harassed Hathaway or had he not hooked Hathaway into Hildeby in the first place!

Your McCabe Hathaway recap was the most Leaf-visioned nonsense take you've had in a while lol. McCabe was tied up with Hathaway when the goalie contact happened so I thought it was a soft call but maybe you can argue Hathaway didn't do enough to avoid the collision, so fine. But then it was McCabe that not only gave Hathaway a usual shot as a 'hey don't hit my goalie', but then went back a second time and shoved Hathaway's head into the ice – by far the dirtiest part of the whole exchange. Hathaway then got up, manhandled McCabe for a few seconds who then got desperate, went for a jumping superman punch for some reason and then when falling to the ice got tagged with a glancing punch before hitting his head on the ice. That's actually what happened. McCabe's a dirty player that went looking for trouble and found it – hard to feel bad about that.

7:45 A thing that is actually pretty easy to see in the clip if you pull it up is that Hathaway actually grabs Gudbranson's chin strap on his helmet and unbuckles it while he's looking the other way. Gudbranson in reaction to this takes his hand that's holding onto Hathaway's collar and jabs him. Then Hathaway spits on him. Hathaway instigated the whole thing lol.
