Blue Jackets have been surprising. The blueline and inconsistent goaltending gives up a lot, so they rely on outscoring opponents. I'm not a fan of Provorov's style, but he fits Dean's system. Severson is turning into Columbus's Wade Redden
I'm a sharks fan and I think C is still a little too generous. They have a tendency to have little meltdowns and lots of miscues on D and being outplayed consistently to be a C imo. I'd give SJ a D

Hmmmm I disagree with a bunch of these for actual needs for teams. Nyr had stanley cup aspirations. F for sure. Flyers goal tending is a work in progress and they're a rebuilding team. Losing helps their prospect pool as well. Honestly the Canadians, penguins, and blues imo should be lower. They're all about to fall into mid tier irrelevance (mediocre team, mediocre prospects). Nashville is an F as well. San Jose is developing talent really well and deserves a B based on expectation.

While I am a Jets fan and have huge hopes for them this year; it's hard to come up with a realistic playoff scenario that does not end up with a Vegas vs Washington Cup final.

They had an A+ start for sure, but have looked fairly typical since then – especially playing down to teams below them and dropping points to those teams that they should be notching. If winnipeg was consistently winning the games they should be winning they would still be A+, but the reality is a B+ right now. I'm hoping that by the post-season they will be back on A+ form.

Considering Ottawa survived their dreaded November and a 9-game away schedule, while banged up in key areas, I think their grading could have been more generous. Then again, nothing better than a mediocre grade to encourage their return to the playoffs! 😉

I think it would be beneficial to show the winning percentages for the entire season, as well as the last 10 games. It would give a good indication on which direction your team is going in the standings, and were they could end up at the end of the year. It would act like an up or down arrow for the season.

Wild have been injured all year. The injuries have been to the best players at that. Kaprizov, Brodin, Spurgeon, Middelton, Faber, Lauko, Zucs, Trennin, Gustafson, are all starters who have been out significant amount of time. Getting healthy but still know Lauko, Kaprizov, Faber, are out still.
Calgary a C+??? You had them predicted to be sitting at lower than 29 and maybe you said 32nd. They sold the majority of their “assets” and with this retooling may (and I admit a dubious may…) make the playoffs. B+
