This guy is my hero on so many levels man, so glad he’s getting more appreciation.
I was at Ron Francis retirement night. The first one the canes did and it was delightfully campy, everyone cried, etc… I am hoping that the Canes give Eric the ceremony he deserves, he was a huge part of the Hurricanes. He was with us who stayed through the dark years. He never demanded a trade, he even got his brother to come play here. Going on 20 years with a Staal on the team…. The Staal family and the Hurricanes will always be intertwined.
