  1. That was one hell of a game last night, you just can't make ANY mistakes against them or you're made to pay. Should be an awesome 4th straight first round match-up. I was happy that no one got hurt, McDavid slamming the kid's head into the edge of the boards was scary, same with Kempe getting undercut.

  2. Kempe + Kuemper….. 2 royal pains in the Oilers’ sides. They always play great against our boys. LA’s a scary team and they’re already built for the playoffs. I just hope it isn’t the Oilers they play again in the 1st round. 😬

  3. Yes, I'll agree with you there, Eck. A 1-0 game is usually a boring one, but this one was end-to-end action. Credit to both goalies, they each played great.

  4. You don't want to hear from us, why should we want to hear from you? Mcdavid was the third best Oiler on the nighr.

  5. Skinner makes multiple highlight reel saves and gets a shutout… eck proceeds to talk more about the other goalie lmao cmon dude we know you hate the oilers.

  6. Calgary has a better shot beating LA in the post season than Edmonton does. Skinner DOES NOT have the capability to take the Oilers through the post season this year. Sorry Oil fans. You need to hear this and get a decent goalie.

  7. What are you all smoking here? We played hard for one period the last two games ,then we quit abruptly, Kuemper is the sole reason we were even in this game. We have ZERO scoring threats after Kempe, a lot of checkers and grinders plus a useless pylon we can’t even trade( Fiala ) does anyone here really believe we can compete in a playoff series with these guys? I guess we can hope for four straight shutouts from Darcy?

  8. watching the kings year after year, the NHL continues to show bias towards them allowing penalties that would be called on most teams to go unpunished because its LA.
There is year after year footage of the blatant missed calls going in the Kings favor. This isnt a new thing. Its been decades.
Last years playoffs, the NHL tried to help keep LA in the playoffs but Edmonton was too strong, and they couldnt start calling 10 penalties a game against Edmonton.
It would have been too obvious.

  9. I watched the game, it was very tight. I’m an outsider here but feel like LA need more secondary scoring, missing Doughty is huge.

Likewise Oilers are still top heavy and minus the Bouche bomb have limited mobility from the backend. To see Eclkholm on the PP was funny. Anyway just my two cents. Obviously two very strong teams.

  10. As an Oilers fan I still always dread playing LA. Even though the record looks lop sided in our favour, the games are always nail biters. The added rivalry we’ve built up over the past few years only makes LA step up even more when we meet and even though it’s a battle of who makes a mistake first, it’s about as entertaining as trap hockey can get.

The fact that they’re playing so well without Doughty for so long is impressive. Worthy opponents.

  11. As a jets fan, I always hate playing the kings. It feels like their game plan is to just get 1 goal then shut everything down completely. It’s boring to watch, but you gotta admire how good their defence is. Only thing I think they need to work on is they don’t seem to score a whole lot.

  12. Kings played great, dont forget the oilers are very conformable in these closely fought contents due to their recent history in the playoffs.
