Tough night for our Kings and Steelers on Saturday night. I'm more optimistic for the Kings…although cautiously so.
The boys are allowed to be tired, and are allowed to lose. It happens, we have to turn the page and reduce these judgements.
They lost to the 🔥🔥🔥s I got a BIG problem with that
Another game wear big Sammy sits in the press box yet again. This team was humming right along with him at the fourth pivot before 12 and 61 came off the injured reserve list.
I don’t like that, Sammy gives the kings, a huge physical presence at the 4C and made life pretty miserable for the opposition . I’d much rather see 61 and 12 flanking 79.
Move Tanner back up with Q and Foggy where that line was on fire before Hiller stuck them with this season’s underachieving Moore.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to win every game! The only person that can complain about this loss is David Rittich. Who can argue "Come on guys, I only allow 2 goals and lose?"… Yet the team could argue back – "Come on bud, you couldn't stop 90% of the shots we let through". Water under the bridge. I think Fiala has put too much weight on his own shoulders. He has more goals than assists and is -10 on the + -. Either Hiller, Kopitar or Kempe, need to take him on as a "project". Need to show him how to play Two-Ways, and use his threat as an opportunity to create openings for other players on his line. Finally, tonight's game is BIG BIG BIG. I'm predicting a Win 4-3 (5-3 if Kempe can pump another empty netter), but Hiller should put the Q.B. line against McDavid. Looking forward to that.
We all want our Kings to win but if they are again without Edmundson this game, that's another huge hurdle to clear. Moverare been holding his own but Oilers offense is at another level and I think Englund or Burroughs (whoever the 7D is tonight) will also be exposed.
Well, mister Eddie, this time around, there is no way I can attack or complain about the Kings. The only thing is that we have seemingly regressed back to-around-2009/'10 or so. The Terry Murray days were marked by a solid defensive team. But we had trouble scoring. The thing is, the two remaining players from that team-Kopi and Dewey-both had years to adapt to both attacking and defending. In hockey, defense is the least fun part of the game. But both became near masters? It's a weird situation to see the rest of the team slowly coming in line with Kopi. However, against a solid/scoring team, the odds are still likely the other team will win-albeit by a pathetically low score…and so it has been over the past two games. The Kings are a surprisingly good team this year. As to goaltending, it's likely there'll never be another Jonathan Quick. I suddenly feel bad for Rittich; but he always seems to give up at least 2-3 goals. He's just not quite there! My sense for Kuemper is that he's operating on personal pride. So, let's just say the Kings know the rule. Your goaltender makes the initial save-and you give him full view of said shot-and then the "D" clears the puck. Are the Kings slew-footed or just plain old too slow? You can't have the opposition swarming about your net and expect anything but a goal against! Anyway, good luck on the next game-on the road-Go Kings GO!
