4th liners are 4th liners for a reason…..At this point, you just hope the 4th line is playing well enough to not get scored on and to give the top 2 lines a break. 4th line is a bunch of do-nothing slappies like last year.
The reports on Jiricek were correct. He's a horrendously bad skater.
Marat isn't the problem, he's playing with pace, the other AHL guys can't keep up with him and all of the talk about this years AHL guys being ready to get called upto the NHL is meh, I guess the positive is that they aren't giving up much (other than last nights vs Vegas)…Lauko coming back will help Marat and we need to temper expectations on what a 4th line should produce, but they definitely need to chip in a goal every few games…
Same old injury prone, undersized outcomes. 1st round playoff loss in 6 games. Sorry, I am a bit burnt out running on this treadmill.
With the roster this depleted, the 4th line is where the thinning will show. Once the Wild get healthy, many of these forwards will not be with the big club – Jones, Gaunce, Shore, Johnson, Boyd, as examples. On the backend, some of the D will not get the huge minutes currently being distributed, as I watch Merrill repeatedly going against MacKinnon and other mismatches all night.
Punch your ticket into the playoffs and let the cards fall. I would like to play Vegas as both games were competitive and there is a true hatred between the clubs. Boldy blowing up Stone was fantastic, again no call on Whitecloud for retaliation on a clean hit. Hang in there – Wild are going to be a bitch to play against come April.

I was stuck watching the Vegas feed…first off, Jamie Heirsch is a traitor. 😂 Second, the play by play for Vegas calls the team “The V G K”. Used in a sentence: “Barbashev carries the puck down the ice for the V G K” Thank god I don’t have to listen to that crap every night.
The nice part of the current format is that it is MORE likely to get earlier games in the playoffs. If we play a west coast team, half the games will be 9pm or later.
I am currently reading the book about Boogaard. That really puts the behind the scenes of injuries into perspective.
