Isn’t there a large conflict of interest when the teams owner kinda owns over half the sports media we consume. They’re never gonna say their bosses flaws.

Mitch Marner is a crybaby, and when Jackie said that management has been and continues to be working hardest at trying to appease a few, who do you think she's talking about? It's Marner and probably Matthews. This core CAN NOT AND WILL NEVER WIN ANYTHING!
Ya on the spitting chiclets pod they had “Hockey illuminati” on who is a leaf fan obviously. He goes on about how it’s an “Over reaction” as you watch the most uninspired hockey club you’ve ever witnessed. These guys think the league is puddy in their hands as they go out & get out worked almost every single night. I’ve never been so embarrassed as a leaf fan these guys bring nothing but shame as far as I’m concerned. They can keep scoffing off people like me as they only care about their echo chamber fans who are literally either 5 year olds or know nothing casuals who support garbage shoveled down their throat
I've lost track of the number of posts I've seen brushing off the team's poor play with "they're in first place" or "every team goes through lulls" or "winning the Stanley Cup is _hard_". It's more exhausting than actually watching the Leafs play.
it's the same old Leafs, and will it change under coach Berube. it seems that will take more time to see real results, and playoff performance will tell.
Marner can drive a line, and seems fine to play with JT. It's #34 who needs Marner, will not settle for less. Nylander also has a hissy fit if he's on the 3rd line and his ice time goes down. They need a good 3C to play with Nylander, then they can try putting Domi with Matthews to get Domi moving. They need a 3C who is defensively responsible (since Nylander and McMann are not sure what the word defense even means), but can also set up Nylander and contribute offensively. Too bad O'Reilly seems to not be an option for a trade. Only real playmakers they have up front are Marner and Domi. Rest of them are shooters, can't pass for sht.
I realize that there are 3 things as a sports fan;
1) we have no control of the Leafs whatsoever.
2) they are not going to listen to any fans advises, and make the necessary changes.
3) I can only control whether I am going to the game, watch the game at home, or spend that time with my friends and family.
So, just enjoy the game while you can.
We are wasting our time with this team. I'm at an impasse of not caring

It's the Shanaplan. Take a look at what DuMbasS did to this team, it was by design & Shanahan let it happen. Now Treliving & Berube have to figure out what to do with these guys. Will the shake-up be the release of Marner & Tavares? Maybe Nylander gets traded for some established players? Most likely we have to wait until Shanahan is gone. Then we will see what Pelley will allow the hired management do to improve this team.
Leafs are a tough watch when they win this season. When they play like they have since Xmas it really turns a guy off. Same old flaws, never going anywhere.
