Dubas has no business as a GM in the NHL. I predict after his ruining of the Pens with horrible contracts he will be out of the league in a few years.
Enjoyed hearing your thoughts. For me, jarrys worst trait is the lack of accountability, at least from what i can see through the media. And whats up with letting the first shot against go in? Though ned does it too once in a while.
I just feel this team is way it is there just mid team can’t play consistent hockey like to me they should tear it down and start rebuild like it’s hard to see this team try make playoffs with that d core or goalie they have like they need to add more younger player who are nhl ready just like caps did but caps did it like 2 or 3 years early then pens
I think this move, if a team picks him up, is fantastic!!! The Pens have two legit goalies right now who can play in the NHL. One is 23 years old, yes 1 year older than Matt Murray when he took them to the Cup and won. The other, Bloomqvist, who is 20 years old who is also lightening in up! When he was up at the beginning of the year, and the Pens were playing their worst hockey, he was confident, always rebounded from a goal, and more importantly even though they were playing horrible hockey the team saw what they had and could count on. If there could even be more, now Murashov, who is an 18 year old Russian goalie, can join Wilkes as a part of his grooming. Our future in goal looks amazing
Pens got Bunting and a 2nd for Guentzel. The 2nd turned into Harrison Brunicke. That worked out perfectly. I'll take Brunicke in the 2nd and forget the 1st. It's curious Dubas didn't get a 1st round pick and Sean Walker and Adam Henrique did. Not having Guentzel does mean Geno has no right wing because Rakell is 87's left wing. Graves sucks for to long and there is no money to resign Marcus Pettersson. Acciari's a joke for to long. Dubas sucks in the open. He also traded for Reilly Smith.
This is good, not bad. Jarry has needed to go for a while. He let's in weak goals, and is way overpaid
At what point does free pass Sullivan, stop getting a free pass for the bad play of the team. He is the Teflon Don of the NHL and remains employed when no other coach would be in his position. Do not get me wrong, he is a good coach, but he isn't it for the Pens. The Pens need a fresh perspective, perhaps a coach that will allow them to play with an edge, and not be so laughably soft.
Karlsson is an expected +/- of -2.7. The term isn't great on Graves but he's an expected +/ – of +1.3 and makes just over a third as much money. Everyone in Toronto also loved to pick apart Dubas's 4th liner deals but the real issue is his assumption that there is no cost too high to pay for pure offensive skill.
Dubas is a joke
He should have never been given an extension. Even a passing fan could have seen this was a bad deal. And now we're left with the balance of a bad contract.
Guentzle did not want to stay 😂
Jarry had to go. At the time of his contract, he was the best tender on the market that didn't require a trade for prospects. Resigning him WAS the right move. Jarry fell apart this season, no problem. We are loaded at the goaltender position in the minors. Blomqvist is gonna be solid. Honestly, Murashov is gonna be better. Mistakes happen, and Dubas owned it, but he did the best with what he had to work with.
Jarry never accepts that he is a crappy goaltender ,and doesn´t make an effort to change which is costing the Pens
Sam Dickinson was bufallos pick learn ur facts
Our teams keep preforming like this and we will be called the city of Losers
Speaking as a Pens fan, the Pens needed to part ways with Jarry ages ago. He has moments of brilliance, but mostly is someone who does not perform when the heat is on. And as far as what Dubas has done I don't mind it. He walked into a rough situation. No one is going to give you all of their good players for all of your bad ones. It seemed like he did that when he got karlson, but it's all really a bit of some good and some bad. The Pens probably won't be good until sometime after the Crosby era.
Kyle Dubas the wonder kid GM was touted to be a genius for Toronto. After securing a massive contract with Fenway Sports Group (majority owners of the Penguins), he tried to strong arm Brendan Shanahan to match the Penguins deal and was rebuffed. Dubas’s team missed the playoffs last season and unless he convinces his bosses to trade away old war horses Letang, Malkin and Crosby, the rebuild is stuck in the mud.
He was a disappointment last season too.
They damn near rode Ned to the playoffs last year while Jarry rode the bench.
