This team has not been right since the Christmas break. I was terrified about the 4 nations break, but man, what is going on?
If we are only going to have to count on luck during playoffs that's a very bad mojo to mix in. I rather not get into playoffs if they are going to play that sloppy with no guts. If Jack and Nico gets hurt or something during playoffs does this mean we are out and getting ready to golfing?

Keefe is keeping the same lines and not changing much if anything. Palat is a 3rd liner at best, but the organization is expecting him to be a 1st line player. He isn't putting up points and he's slow. Paying someone 6 mil just to forecheck playing with your top 2 skilled players while dragging them down at the same time isn't a winning formula. Cotter needs to get a consistent shot in the top 6. Mercer is absurdly inconsistent and at this point he is what he is. A 3rd liner who hovers arundel 30-40 points.
The bottom 6 is a main reason why the team is losing. Teams just have to shutdown nico and Hughes and it's almost a guaranteed win.
Jack is a good player. He needs to learn to slow down and not do too much and be more responsible. Guys like mcdavid, Mackinnon, Kucherov, etc all make mistakes but it's not on a nightly basis. They know how to slow the game down and when things aren't clicking for them, they simplify their games. When Jack isn't on his game he's trying too much and overthinking which just hurts the team.
I'm sure Fitz is trying to make moves, but he can't wait any longer and wait for the perfect deal or for prices to lower. Good gms address the needs regardless of the sacrifices that have to be made (Vegas trading for guys like Eichel, Hanifin Hertl while being up against the cap every year, Tampa letting Stamkos go in order to get Guentzel, avs trading a solid player like Byram for mittelstadt to address their lack of a 2nd line center, Florida trading 2 top players for Tkachuk). Fitz needs to bite the bullet and make big splashes and get this team winning consistently
Another pathetic effort and display. They are no fun to watch for at least the last month. Both Luke and Jack need to be more careful and responsible.

Tomorrow will be the 9th loss in the last 11 games. It's over before it starts. Fitzgerald is a failure. He's built a pathetic & embarrassing team. The Riveters could beat this team. I told everyone Fitz did a terrible job in the offseason. While he got praised for things like bringing that bum Tatar back. He didn't add any difference makers. He overpaid that loser Mercer after he had a terrible season. He's now having an equally terrible season. He has had 0 points in 9 of his last 10 games. Timo is allergic to the scoresheet. Hamilton scored his 1st goal in 45 days today. Good to see he remembered where the net was. All these guys being paid big money and none of them can score. Palat another contract disaster. He can't move any of these guys. We are stuck with them. They aren't going to right the ship. This team is bad.
The opposition have figured out how to stop the Devs rush. Just look at how they line up at center ice or at their blue line. They found out how to poke check Jack trying to enter the zone and anticipating rushed passes that we're attempting in our speed game. If teams have adjusted to our style then we're going to have to adjust to their attempt to slow us down.

Jack stats look fine, but it is true that his play has been rough lately. Despite knowing how many of you guys are mental, I am still surprised at how many of you are turning on him during this rough stretch. You're absolutely out of your minds. Jack Hughes carries this team and that it is only more evident when he is not on his game because the team struggles. This team goes as far as the core takes them.
What the heck is going on now? What is definitely wrong with our club? I'm pretty much disappointed now. I know Philadelphia cheated big. Now that we're going to have a conversation with the coach. I wish I could help play on the ice. In the future we need to even improve our defense depth. I just saw the postgame interviews. Listen to what Dillion says about the star players having issues playing simple. Jack is not maturing at all. He wants every play and goal to be a highlight and doesn’t understand sometimes you gotta keep it simple.
