Davidson is preaching patience with the Blackhawks rebuild. I don’t see them giving up numerous young high end assets for a player who is viewed as soft and has underperformed since signing his nice fat contract.
If Pety is so great, why would the Nucks consider trading him? And exactly what has he done, short of putting up personnel stats, that has resulted in the Nucks having anything more than mediocre success? Hard no on this rumour.

Hawks are more likely to be extremely aggressive to sign Marner this summer, and won't have to give up anything. Seattle going to be having a garage sale for sure, and have a number of interesting players to offer. Canucks in a tough spot, in that can they rely on Pettersen to deliver the goods? I myself don't think he will, but I've been wrong plenty of times.

I find hockey rumours are a great content goldmine for online "analysts". It reminds me of Hollywood "insiders" starting a rumour, then every online "Nastradumbass" cashes in creating even more content and rumours dissecting every angle or possible confederate who may be involved. The spectrum seems to run from People to National Inquirer.
Bedard for Petty ?
JT Miller wants to stay too. He's not asked for a trade and he's not wanting to leave. His wife and kids are happy here. EP40 wants to stay, but he's not a power forward, he is skilled, but he's not a leader, and he's a no show in the playoffs.
If you think the Devils are giving Mercer and Nemec for JT you are crazy. The money makes zero sense.

Its been rumored vancouver changed stance on price to contender like Carolina who dont want to give up a roster player like Necas,Jarvis ect. Maybe you could get a JacksonBlake and a pick or prospects but they should be prepared be let down.

The ONLY way Chicago would have a chance at a trade for Petterssen is if Bedard is part of the package coming back and I doubt very much they'd give away their "generational" talent. I'd like to see Bedard, Alex Vlasic and a swap of 1st round picks for Pettersen and either Hoglander or one of our pylons on the blue line.
