  1. I told my buddies Leafs going to lose a ugly one tonight, they always lose to teams like this because, for the core, those types of teams are beneath them, as soon as this team comes into the building to work, the core will fold. They dont want to work, they want pretty goals and passes.
Ive been becoming a Jackets fan this season and losing interest in the Leafs because I cant stand this core.
Imagine being paid all that money to never try everynight.

  2. So Hildaby hasnot even played with the Marlies. He has been sitting?Matt has been playing instead and doing well. How the hell do you expect any goalie to sit out 4 so long? Then expect them to be perfect?Go Hildaby🎉 Go!

  3. Rielly is minus -16 , why is he not watching the game from the press box?
Rielly is the ONLY TOR defense that is a minus excpet Myers who when he does play only plays with Rielly hmmmmmm!
Literally Timmins and OEL are both plus defense yet Rielly is MINUS 16!!!!
Beg him to take a trade and then make a package some sucker team would take to get rid of him , he does not even put effort into the game anymore!

  4. I am happy with Matthews comments. The home crowd is meant to be a 6th player. At least when they are on. The crowd should be part of the team and are one of the active members of the team. By calling out the crowd for their lackluster energy, when high energy was warranted, he is calling out his teamates to be better.

  5. Last season when Reavo was fightin' and hittin' he played his best hockey. He was a menace. This year he has been…fine but not nearly as impactful. Matthews comment was fine, you are hear it on the broadcast, Scotia Bank is a tomb half the time.

  6. Every game all you see in the lower bowl are suits. Its embarrassing. These ruch clowns can go to the games and eat their $45 sushi and $30 martinis. But cant wear a jersey or yunno, act like a fan. I hate them.

  7. WOW!!! Very interesting to me, it seems like far more Blue Jackets fans in the comments here than Leafs fans.

  8. Steve, I come here when the Leafs lose because your reactions are the best 😂❤ I’m loving your channel from out here in Vancouver 💙💚

  9. I listened to the game, and yes, Joe Bowen sell the fight like a champ as usual, but on the radio it actually sounded pretty loud during the fight.

  10. I remember when fighters fought to be a threat to the other team, not to get the fans going. I noticed Reaves gave Olivier a pat at the end of the game. Good job, bro. Definitely different these days. I however am not complaining – being an NHL fighter has led to a lot of suicides and overdoses in the last twenty years. I hope this fighter comradery makes their lot in life easier, especially when they leave the game.

  11. I once bought some stuff to put on your nails to keep you from biting them. But I bite my cuticles….. not only did the stuff burn when applied to my damaged cuticles, but it tasted awful. And the subconscious anxiety driven desire to gnaw meant my fingers ended in my mouth before I remembered it was going to taste awful. And the horrid taste lingered forever. Don't not recommend!

  12. i love how mathews has stepped up as captan and i agree the platnums need to get into the game i remember getting shut up for yelling at ref when he missed a call right infront of his eyes at a coyotes game a few years ago the building needs to wake the F up get behind these guys cheer them on have their back and support them we need a bigger building drop ticket price for some sections have a university section and a standing room only section and get the fans in the building to cheer this team on. as a player you feed off the crowd and their cheering

  13. You are not going to win most games where you ONLY score one goal. The goalies have no say in how many goals their team scores

  14. So it's a staged fight and the fans weren't enthused? The best thing that can happen to Reaves is injury. He doesn't or shouldn't play in the playoffs. No team has ever missed his 8 min per game in a playoff game. Maybe the crowd would have loved a bit of energy from the Leafs there Cap?

  15. Matthews steppin' and reppin'! He's absolutely right! That barn is WAY to quiet at times. Far too many times, the Leafs get more support ON THE ROAD! And Heck Yeah Reavo stood his ground and acquitted himself like a champ!

  16. I agree with Auston. Fans like to complain about how there’s not much fighting these days and that the game is softer. So when two guys go at it for the fun of going at it, that's not something to just smile and not at. there is an argument to be made that the arena doesn’t help, because there are sections you won't hear until they are singled out and you realize, "Hey. There's people there! But come on, the Carolina hurricanes have louder crowds than we do.
I also disagree that we don’t need Ryan Reeves on this team. He had that stretch early in the 2023 season where he got scored on game after game, but that was then and he came back in style that year as well. Once again, this fanbase wants toughness, until they don’t.

  17. I was there last night, it was SOOOOO QUIET there last night and filled with corporate people looking for nice outings rather than actual fans

  18. tell matthews they don't call toronto the 'screwface capital' for nothing. very hard to please

  19. Late January game against the CBJ who although playing great hockey, are not top of mind. These are games where season tickets are sold or given away to friends and family, they are the tickets you win in a raffle or are even the only type of ticket you can get. The difference is in Toronto it's still a sell-out while in other rinks those seats are empty. A social night out along with dinner. Not a true, blue and white bleeding first game of the playoffs crowd. They played fine, goalied at both ends as you said. We'll see who shows up on Saturday.

  20. Audience Thoughts: I use to go to a ton of concerts in Toronto growing up. There would always be a noticeable size of dudes standing with there arms crossed not moving. Musicians would even comment on this (think it was Beck). I go live in Montreal and I don't see the same thing. What I feel confident is happening is that our crowds LOVE the music (as they love the hockey game) and they want to take in every second. They are focused. That is how they show respect for the musicians as well as the hockey game. I am sure "suits" play a role, but I also think there is something unique to a segment of Toronto crowds where they show appreciate through steady thoughtful contemplation.

  21. Why do the leafs insist on sabotaging the team every night by playing Morgan Reilly. Bench of Waive pick one not fit to play in the NHL

  22. Most of those so called bombs you say in the fight missed from both players. And if you look at Reeves in slow motion his first words to Olivier was thank you.

  23. At that conference he said he'd COMMUTE Ulbricht's sentence…he received an UNCONDITIONAL PARDON, which literally erases the crime, and uplifts the criminal. Disgusting.
ps. I don't agree with the sentence he received, but he was convicted according to existing laws…as far as I know they didn't concoct charges. Correct the laws if there's a problem.

  24. The disrespect on the Jackets is crazy man. Getting rocked 5-1 in your own barn and claiming to be the better team on the night is insane man.
