    Mammoth sounds better than Yeti in my mind. Both are fine but Mammoth is better.

    I always wondered how Yeti coolers was allowed to use its branding when Yeti Mountain bikes have been around since the mid 80's and the branding is so similar. Not big enough?

    If the jackets stay in the playoff race by the deadline Waddell has mentioned keeping our ufa’s and treating them like deadline acquisitions instead of the mindset of losing them for nothing. Never heard it framed that way, thought it was interesting

    Uhhh…i remember when I heard a bunch of people talking about the Stanley Cup….i was like wow hockey is getting so popular. Just to find out it was an actual cup everyone uses. People also confuse my Bruins hats for UCLA all of the time.

    I think Utah should stay away from Colorado branding. The Avs have used a Big Foot/Yeti foot as a logo on their uniforms. They also have an indoor professional lacrosse team named the Mammoth that plays in the same arena as the Avs. They used to have a professional outdoor lacrosse team named the Outlaws in recent history.

    Am I the only one thinking the name is obvious? Utah Youths or short form the Utah Ut's…. perfect ..print it.

    Mammoth has been the best option all along. Yeti just sounds awkward and Outlaws is too generic and boring.

    Good. It's a stupid nickname.
    Stay with Utah Hockey Club for now, let a few years pass and see what nickname arises organically. You don't have to do something right now just to say you do something.

    UTAH SWARM was my favorite.
    The baseball team is already called the SALT LAKE BEES. They could nickname the arena "The Hive". Utah's nickname is the "Beehive State".
    UTAH MAMMOTH won't happen because of the NLL franchise in Colorado also called the Mammoth. They are also owned by the same owner of the NHL Avalanche.

    For the umpteenth time! Utah Skinwalkers! C’mon, people of Utah! It’s right there for ya! You can even call your arena “The Ranch”! Unlimited logo/marketing opportunities.

    why does everyone hate Utah HC so much it sounds great and u get to use Utah for all ur merch so non hockey fans prob end up wearing it.
    also why does every new sports franchise feel the need to have a non plural name. most of them sound horrible. (kraken is great)

    Utah resident here hoping for Mammoths! That’s been my favorite all along and would work well with the current color scheme. Not to mention an awesome logo and mascot, and not so similar to Colorado!

    Utah should stay Utah Hockey Club. I was always a fan of Europe's soccer teams that had F.C. (football club) in their name and I think more NA sports teams should try it out. Utah H.C. is a pretty cool and unique name imo

    I'd agree that Mammoth be more family oriented if Yeti doesn't work out. I heard they even have issues now with Utah Hockey Club name. The Vegas Golden Knights had the same issue, but worked it out. I think if they wanted to use Yeti, is work with the ceo of the Yeti brand to share the name and profits. Cuz if that's a more popular name, and if they cannot trademark Utah, they should be creative with the area and just pick the city their stadium is in and use that name.
