  1. Greatest hockey player I ever saw and the best example of a sportsman, person and model for young people you could ask for..Like a very very few, he was so good you just had to laugh and marvel. Bravo.and eternal thanks

  2. The only thing that’s consistent with Debrusk…is that he’s very inconsistent…. Usually leads me to think it’s a mental thing….would take Bert Uzzilia back any day

  3. Saw this on our local news(Halifax,NS) and I still haven't heard a louder stadium ovation ANYWHERE(I'm a Leafs' fan).

  4. I was blessed to be able to watch Bobby's entire career as a young teenager in central Mass…..he is the greatest player that will ever play hockey and a greater human being. People talk about records that will never be broken in sports but for some reason Bobby is never mentioned in those conversations. But, what he did when he won all four major awards in hockey as a defenseman will never happen again. Winning the scoring title in the NHL and winning the best defenseman award the same year, which he did twice, will also never happen again. That feat just doesn't even make any logical sense yet that's what he did. I think Bobby Clark put it best when he said after seeing Bobby play, "he needs to be in one league higher than this one…". He also said Bobby Orr is what what all hockey players everywhere should strive to be like both on and off the ice. He wasn't flashy…he didn't need to be….he was just so much better than everyone else and still would be today.

  5. Orr is proof you can be an elite athlete and still be intellectually challenged…….he supports trump

  6. Thank you Fred and Pete two of my brothers for getting me into Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics over 60 years ago. Damn

  7. One of the classiest guys you can ever meet. Not a pretentious bone in his body, a real gentlemen. We loved watching you play the great game of hockey. You are the greatest player of all time, hands down.

  8. This guy should’ve played 20 seasons and been the last remaining player from the Original Six era.

  9. Growing up in Montreal as a young Habs fan I was fortunate to see Bobby play. For me he is the greatest player ever. I recall begging my Dad to get me a Bruins sweater with Bobby's name and number on the back. He said I would get ridiculed but I didn't care. IMO Bobby changed the game and lead the way for young "D" like Robinson and Coffey to excel offensively. He is a legend.

  10. Bobby is the greatest hockey player of all time.
He is an even better person.
I know a guy who is best friends with him and I feel I know Bobby vicariously thru Jim Peters.

  11. Bobby is the best there has ever been, and the best there ever will be. I really miss watching him play.

  12. I was raised in Boston and was 8 in 1970, I remember watching the Bruins games on a 19 inch black and white TV. Bobby was bigger than life and the entire city loved him. That trade to the Blackhawks still sticks in my side!

  13. From all of human population and I only have four picks, Bobby Orr is in my dream golfing foursome.

  14. Every time Bobby Orr touched the puck it got your attention. Growing up I watched the games on Channel 38 for free!

  15. An amazing person and an even better hockey player………. typical Canadian…..quiet and humble

  16. One of the very very small handful of players to meaningfully change the game for the better. Profound impact! He is an example for all mankind. Thanks for the video. Please do the exact same one but get someone besides Mike Millbury to comment.

He is the inverse of Bobby Orr. Remembered for climbing into the stands and beating a fan with a loafer, and then becoming the GM of the Islanders and temporarily destroying the franchise. What were you thinking?

  17. He is such a awesome Guy, my Mom lived next-door to Bobby in Parry Sound, I ask Bobby at a book signing if he remember my Mom for which sure I do. I always said to my Mom you should have married Bobby and not Dad lol, I was 8 and had no clue.
