Mikko has a cup and now his sites are set on maximizing his Free Agency. He made his choice and had every opportunity to take a "home town discount". Mikko wont have elite Nate or Cale feeding him pucks. He's terrible defensive and a lazy skater. Mikko is not worth what he's asking, he's a Wing. The hubris from Demers. Why do the players need to know what management is doing? These players play hardball for a year (in most cases) and then are "shocked"? Good on the Avs management putting team over player, it's good for the sport.
I'm still not sure why Chicago made this trade, they lost an asset and get 4 plus million on their books. Why?
