1. you're listing top 4, but you left out Jones. Are you assuming they can move him?

  2. If Schaefer is the unicorn analysts says he is then position shouldn't matter. Draft the unicorn.

  3. Yes defense wins championships but we need offense…we took a D with the #2 pick last year plz dont draft shaffer😅

  4. Does it matter Davidson has been a disaster since taking over in 2021. Minus Bedard what has he done but make other NHL teams better and make us a bottom feeder. I told you all to get RID of him. 🤨 As for your question he won't take him anyway because of his magnificent mind. 🧠🧐 The difference of being a good GM than a bad one is the good ones will find the 💎while the bad ones like ours will bury this team into mediocrity at best. Still waiting for his 22 and 23 draft picks to show up. And here's a thought quit drafting 17 year olds 😑

  5. He's been fun to watch in Erie, explosive on cuts. I hope the Hawks can get him. Bonus, he's such a great kid, always smiling and talks to kids during signings he'll change any room for the better! They can always move up in the draft with picks, prospects to get their forward

  6. If chicago has less points then san Jose at the end of the year there are serious problems. sharks belong in ahl not nhl.

  7. if Schaefer is that good you draft him… and package the others for another forward/center..

  8. Who would the hawks take from colorado if jones is sent there? Mittelstadt? Ritchie? 1st? Manson? rights to mikko in the offseason?

  9. Maybe let's question KD totally messing up last years draft.. Ivan Demidov is lights out right now, and Levshunov isn't going to develop into this team needs.. his play so far this year is absolutely terrible and worrisome.

  10. Id take Schaefer if I'm sure I can trade levshunov and maybe something else like a 3rd rounder for another top 4 pick so could get Hagens , Martone or jar jar. Two picks in top 4. Ohhhhhhh

  11. Lol hawks making pointless stupid money costing trades now. 6 million dollars is worth "vauable" 3rd round picks? I was kinda hyped jones was getting traded for rantanan. Turns out were just paying for guys now to just not play here

  12. I would take Shaefer with the 1st overall pick and package the Tor 1st round pick with Vlassic to the Sharks for their first round pick. Then, I would take Martone or Hagens with that pick. Give up something to get something. Edward Vlassic I believe was on the Sharks, so the PR would be real good for the Sharks.

  13. The mistake was passing on Demidov for Artie last year. Schaefer is twice the prospect Artie is and Demidov is better than any forward in this draft. Still, I think they should take Hagens or Misa.
Right now they're looking like an unheard of complete homegrown top 8-9 D-corp. Vlasic, Crevs, Allan, Del Mastro, Kiser, Artie, KK, and Ritzel. Rinzel is RH, point a game and a +14 in NCAA. Dude is a NHL player for sure. They have to draft a forward.

  14. The stuffy white bread guy on the left needs to put out some more personality or warmth.
    Very cardboard. Stiff.

  15. In style of play, he's Makar/Hughes/Niedermayer. According to the scouting, he won't be as dominant (based on what we've seen) as any of those. Imagine somewhere in the 10th-20th best all-round defenseman in the league.

He should be in contention to be a first pair defenseman, with a complete game and strong hockey sense, on probably any team in the league. But unless he massively improves, he's not a Makar or a Hughes.

They're projecting him to be better than Hagens, Misa or Martone, but if you have 8-10 very good defense prospects already and not nearly as deep of a forward prospect pool, you choice is either draft what you need or draft Schaefer with the plan on trading some of your top defense prospects to teams for top offense prospects.
