Morgan Frost not a big lost , but Farabee I like this Guy he got gritt and commitment only 25 nearly but 5 millions x 3more years 🤷
Please Danny we need bigger players Everywhere and faster Too Let's go Flyers, I dont change the team but I just hope Danny go with his plan
My big Trade always available on the table With Buffalo Konecny With Sanheim for Rasmus Dalhin and Tage Thomson (OR) Dylan Cozens if the Sabres want more I give Drysdale With that 🏒🤷
JT Miller would be a bad move for the Flyers. Cozens no way with that contract. I think this move is the start of a tank for Hagens.
Thanks for the bonus show “ The double R’s “.
Tha Philadelphia Flyers just got worsted I, thought they were trying to get better
Oh goodness, if we get JT Miller, just wait until he clashes with Michkov and Michkov demands a trade. But hey, at least we will still have a team full of players Torts like, who will always be just barely on the outside of the playoffs.
Very negative here yikes.
Frost was terribly inconsistent, and Farabee, if you look at his last 82 games, he's not worth the 5 million he was getting. He may show flashes, but his production has not been remotely close to where it needed to be after his surgery.
Great trade I like
We got speed in return 🎉
Stop complaining on the trade it’s a good trade
Farabee frost they both bum
The issue is not just jettisoning cap hits, the issue is they got nothing of legit value in return. Once Frost and Farabee turn into better players with Calgary than they were under Tortorella, this move will be one of the reasons Danny Briere will be fired in two years.
What’s this talent that Russ is going on about? Frost and Farabee are both underperforming and have been for a while now. You can say what you want about Torts but they both had their best years under him. Yes, they have regressed. Yes, I would have loved more of a return but what were they really gonna fetch if we waited until the offseason or even the deadline? Frost and Farabee were both drafted 7-8 years ago, how much longer do you have to look at them to make a decision? If you are all willing to overlook Farabee’s horrible season than why doesnt Kuzmenko get the same grace? Kuzmenko may amount to nothing or walk away at the end of the season but his 22 goals last year and his 39 the previous years are more than enough to take a flyer on him, in my opinion.
The Flyers always have had great goaltending. Goaltenders wins cups. With tht said we cant build a team that can stay together 4 to 5 years to make a cup run. Right before covid I truly believed we would have won the cup. Other than that we havnt have sleek dynamic a tough to beat team. This organization needs changes. Im at a loss for words about our Flyers! 😢
The part of this trade no one is talking about yet….The Flyers are a have money team, in the US. Calgary, is a tight market, in an old building, in Canada. The Canadian dollar is crap and will probably be crap for a while. The NHL salary cap is projected by everyone to be going up by 25% over the next 3 years. There will be a wider discrepancy between teams that play to the NHL salary cap, and teams that play to an internal budget or cap.(That doesn't meet the NHL salary cap). The Flyers, I think, are setting themselves up to be "cap-available" as this change happens. If I'm right, they will be in a position to pounce on high skill players that demand higher dollars. Whether that be through trade, or signings. I guess we'll see…..I hope they're that smart.
Now 1.6mln cap Space summer kuzmenko Out 5.5 mln johnston Out 1mln summary 8mln cap Space plus about 2 mln total cap by nhl summary about 10 mln cap Space can will be thlnk
3:11 I like the argument about a good change of scenery. I'm not sure what the scenery is in Philly, but, in Calgary, you can see some trees and mountains. Also some cars and people. We have some roads and sidewalks. You can see the sky here when it's not cloudy. So, hopefully, the scenery in Philly is different and, of course, in all the cities they travel to. Hopefully, the scenery is different enough to get the best out of all these hockey players. Too much of the same scenery can be stifling to a hockey player.
Farabee and frost are that not talented.
Plans are changing??? Rebuilding a team is a numbers game. A team runs through 50-100+ young prospects to find a “foundation of a team”. Then add a few free agents to fill needs. To say the plans are changing because they choose not to re-sign an RFA is an inaccurate statement. Frost is a 2nd line center on his best day and a 3rd line center on most days. Signing him to a long contract at $4-5M per year is a move Chuck Fletcher would have made. Just like he did with Risto and Farabee.
What, if anything constructive. does this do for TK and the rest of the quality core of this team? Scooting the can down the road 2 or 3 more years is a real kick in the nads for them as well as for me. Seems like 2 steps forward and 3 steps back. Don't ya think that since it's obvious that the playoffs are no longer a part of the conversation for a couple seasons or more–AGAIN–that it knee-caps the players psyches?? Sure does mine! Listen, I was a junior and senior in high school when the Bullies saw their last cup victories & I want one more! It's on my bucket list. Rebuild, schmeebuild!! Management & coaching need to unhitch the wagon before it's too late. I'm tired of waiting!! I live in western Ohio, & don't ask why, but I've been a fan all my life & have never seen the Bullies play in Philly. But, I'm sure if they made a final, I could get my boy to cart me to the Wells Fargo Center for my 1st home game. Otherwise, the anxiety's gonna croak me before I get there!!!!!! Git 'er done!!
Calgary would take Pelts off your hands anytime. He is player that works hard and is a play maker. You'll going to fall in love with him
Kozmanko is good. Flames were dumb to trade him flames did not give him enough patience to produce. Not even a full year😢 you guys will reap the benefits
I think these 2 guys will thrive under the coaching of Ryan Huska and I won't be surprised if we see them both make their mark on Saturday when the Flames take on the Red Wings. Pelts has been a great locker room guy, has tons of potential and Torts will either make or break him, I hope he succeeds but I have my doubts just because of the Gordon Ramsey of hockey coaches needs to retire. Kuzy is a funny kid but he is probably headed back to the KHL and his homeland. He never really caught on in Calgary and has been a healthy scratch for several games, Good luck to all the boys but I think Calgary wins this trade hands down.
