Why didn’t you mention that we got a 4th goal called against us if I was the coach I would have challenged it. That’s why we lost

It was the Wes McCauley show again. Twice he ran into or set a pick on Timmy he should have got at least 3 assists for Tampa.
I’m honestly terrified that we’re going to still mess this up. It may seem ridiculous to say given our recent play, but I absolutely will not believe we’re making the playoffs until we step onto the ice for game 1. We lose these next two and I firmly believe we’ll go into the break out of a playoff spot. Obviously I hope I’m getting worked up for nothing.
Get rid of ullmark, trash goalie. Rather leevi. At least a goalie that cares, ullmark is nothing but overrated and overhyped. Trash display.
Better not have these refs and linesmen again on this road trip they are just brutal. Pretty frustrating that a point was definitely on the table for the Sens and they couldn't grab it. Too many great chances missed especially in the 3rd not sure how Giroux doesn't bury that 1 but given the situation coming into this game I'm pretty confident they beat Tampa Thursday as I really thought Tampa looked pretty bad tonight and Vast looked off his game despite him getting the 1st star lol

This is the type of game I'd expect Green to say, "we lost but we had our chances" and it would be the first time this season I'd agree with him. The game had a couple stretches of edge-of-your-seat excitement and the Sens lost in a game where they scored 4 goals. Pretty fun even if we didn't land the dub. That's the third play-off like game in as many weeks it feels like. This wasn't 'being shut out by a fringe team' and boy does that feel a lot better.
We saw some unusual suspects get big minutes tonight and the team didn't look awful in their hands. I think that game looks way different with Norris, Pinto, and Matinpalo in the lineup but Amadio, Gaudette, and Reinhardt has some decent moments. We might not be completely out of the woods with the no show performances from Brady and Bath, but again the Sens had 4 goals tonight (Bath sniping one of them)… like, I can't be mad at any of this. It was a full team effort.
The downer is Pinto being injured. Without him or Norris you can see how bad the Power-Kill looks; nothing like what it's looked all month. Ridler isn't great leading a penalty kill and I think that part of his game needs to come up to an NHL level, let alone a Sens one. Especially if Pinto and Norris are going to play while fighting lingering injuries.
I actually disagree about Stutzle's play tonight, I thought he was noticeably bad on defense. Not getting after the puck, not winning his battles, he only looked good in the o-zone where his speed was doing a lot of nowhere talking. Felt like the emotions/maturity/game management was catching up with him this game and I imagine that's going to happen to 23 year olds.
Ullmark looked shaky, literally fell by himself into his own goal shaky, and slow but even at his worst he still went goal for goal with Vasilevskiy. Finished with a better SV% than him too; that's a dub in my books. I'm leaning into him playing for Sweden and using those games to get back up to speed instead of our precious play-off race games.

Giroux shot at the middle of the net. Vaselevski did a good job getting over but had Giroux shot closer to the post or roofed it it would have been in.

That game vs the Bolts was close, but in the end figuratively-speaking the Sens still got zapped lol.
Last night's loss was so disappointing ullmarks missed catch was devastating we could've tied with our last goal but couldn't in the dying seconds our boys fought hard is forsberg or merilainen wouldve been in the net I think it would've been a different outcome so sad to see us not rise in the standings the way we were I've never been so disappointed as last night's game obviously he's rusty but how long now til he gets his groove back took him a month almost the last time BRING BACK MERILAINEN WE WANT MERILAINEN WE WANT MERILAINEN EVEN FORSBERGS BETTER WE WANT MERILAINEN!!!!!!!!!! merilainen has been STELLAR!
