Let me just give you the straight answer because I watch all the jet games. Ehlers on the top power play last year but has been this year plus Kyle Connor and Mark safely are playing at an elite level this year.
Certain players inject some balls and hard nosed hockey into teams, JT is one of those guys, it's the Brady effect.

He’s still learning no doubt but the kid is magic and is and is going to be one of the funnest players to watch in nhl for years to come. 19 and growing y’all. The Hawks are a few years out so as he grows and they grow it’s gonna be fun team.

I see the 4 nations the same way i see the all star game. Players arent allowed to skip the allstar game unless they missed the previous and following games. Its not about the individual teams money, its about building the league as a whole.
Jets fan here..the reason for the PP being so hot is #1, a new PP coach Davis Payne. And then they added Ehlers to the bumper. Both groups are cohesivene working together and score.
