other generational talents like mackinnon played worse in there first two seasons than bedard with better teams. all these guys were placed in better situations, bedard is doing all he can. If he was on the the avs for example he would for sure by now have 60 points. Straight blasphemy

You can absolutely criticize Bedard and say that he needs to grow…him and the coaching staff said the same thing. But attacking his character and work ethic is going too far…which the broadcast did and now you are doing as well.
No blackhawk fan wants them to be on national tv…cause we have to deal with ESPN/TNT “experts” who just sit there and recap the Blackhawks biggest blowout losses of the season and claim that Bedard is a shitty teammate.
Catch a CHGO podcast once in a while, maybe you’ll learn something about the first wave of NHL prospects who’ve made it up that the national broadcasters don’t bother to even learn their names

Bedard should also be playing wing with Nazar as his center.. He sucks defensively and doesn't have the frame to be a gritty centerman. You're asking him to play like Toews when he has the build and playstyle of Kane. Let him play "pond hockey" as a winger and clip at a 100pt per season pace

I think two things can be true. Bedard has been so impressive given the awful situation he was put into, but he's also not developed his overall game as quickly as McDavid and Crosby did. I'm still betting on him being one of the best players in the league, might just take a little longer and that's okay too

Bedard is a good player with a lot of talent but he needs support ever time he starts to play good the other teams go after him. If the blackhawks want him to be his best have get an enforcer with him and protect him.
