J Skins cooked, gotta figure out these games though, either start hot and fall apart or start horrific and then play good. Need the break.
2 points is 2 points, been a lot of games in short order so I get the fatigue. 4 point lead on Vegas feels so good. Also so happy for J Skinner, please keep him in the top 6. Looked really good.
I'll cut them some slack, given the bug going around.
On a positive note, Skinner looked revjunenated tonight, and talking to himself on the bench, he still demands more of himself. Hope it's the beginning of a turnaround for him. Would be good for the team, and good for him.
Wanna see the guy do well and make it to his first playoffs with Edmonton this spring. 🍻
Leon with 5 points in 2 games…
Hi Patrick and all Oilers from Germany. I could support my team tonight live. I wanna tell you that your analysis will be perfect. It is a win, nothing more or less. Thx God the Blackhawk hits the post in the last seconds, otherwise… . I think Pickard looks better than Skinner in goal, more quick with hands, legs and stick. At least " the same procedure as last game!". Cheers from cold Germany 🥶🥶
Will you be at Rogers Place for the upcoming Oilers vs Avalanche game?
Team's definitely looking tired, but I've heard they've been sick, so that's somewhat understandable.
Hey Patrick 🍻🍻🍻 three pop night tonight kicking off my work boots setting up for your rundown. At least I think we're see an Oilers team that can play a tight game. Picard needs to play the next 4 games! Love his dexterity. Thanks for your update Patrick 👍
Picard played well. Skinner looked better. Rested team versus a tired team. 2 points. Looking forward to the AVS game. Boys play down to the opponent. Thanks for the update.
I'm glad to see some of these pundits changing their tune and not trying to run Jeff Skinner out of town. It sometimes takes players a while to learn a new system, especially when they've spent their whole careers on a perennial losing team like Buffalo. Skinner will never be a great 2-way player, but he's talented and if he's learned not to be a defensive liability, then the goals and assists will come.
👍👏👏👍
Defence was hot garbage , Bouchard was just baaaad , call up Savoie and leave Noah in , get rid of kapanen and victor and get some grit, and knob has to stop changing lines he is going to woody ways !
Game 54. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the Chicago Blackhawks. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments and observations at the end.

Still can't watch or listen to games while I wait for surgery. I actually have to take tonight off and am doing this the next day.
Sometimes it's good to be lucky. With 5 seconds to play in the third that thought came to me (and probably Picard). PP going 1 for 4 sucked (though the one was in OT) and PK epic failing to prevent the one and only one opportunity Chicago got. Jeff Skinner has been playing better and adding a defensive dimension to his game. He finally got to play on the 2nd line with Leon and got a goal and an assist with him. Leon also got a goal and an assist (and 2nd star). At one point the Oilers led 3-1. Then Chicago tied it up and nearly won in the dying seconds of the third. In OT the Oilers get a power play and it takes 18 seconds to end it. The game was borderline boring until the 3rd period.
Take care all
Go Senators Go. Go Oilers Go.
Great win for the Edmonton Oilers over Chicago Blackhawks.
Waiting for another Ottawa Senators vs Tamba Bay Lightnings next.

3 on 1 in OT and no shot. That is how the game went. Chicago always gives the Oil trouble.
