Probably worth too much for too little impact on a lower line.

Add to leafs center trade target list are 26 year old C Casey Mittelstadt with Avalanche who from Elliotte Friedman that leafs have kicked tire on him and C Michael Rasmussen with Red Wings if true or not we will see?

If this is the sort of move that is available and the prices are indeed what’s being reported – how bout just wait a year for the cap and Tavares contract to change the team ? Anyone else think it’s ok to head in to the playoffs with this current roster ? The goaltending could be a real difference and these available “upgrades” are not putting the team over the hump. Thoughts ?

The only trades that will actually improve the leafs are unattainable. A 2nd line center to make Tavares a 3rd line over paid center and expendable. Top 2 D!! Anything less is a waste of resources. Adding to the bottom isn't game changing. Adding even more 3rd pairing D is pointless.
Keep the picks, keep the prospects….unless it is for a player 25 or under. Got it ? Stop being dumb !!
