Connors only flew is he wants to lift his teammates level which is understandable if he would have shot instead of trying to set teammate up ,there up 2 nill and different game ,no player can match him and he needs to do those chances by himself ,not being selfish just has to use his superior skill
Wish Bouchard was there playing with him. Was frustrating seeing Parayko fumble so many shifts with McDavid offensively. Really killed their o-zone pressure numerous times.

Much better effort, more killer instinct, to START WITH, but then it began to look like an Oilers game before Knoblauch showed up to balance things out…… the speed can be used to become available WITHOUT the puck and to force adjustments and transitions within the Opponents structure. The USA know from NHL experience that if you grind possession with speed down you can neutralize it to a large degree not stop it all but severely limit it , Connor started right but then he needed a tap on the shoulder and some instructions of how to dissect the USA defense WITHOUT the puck on his stick….remember speed does not just run North/South it also runs East/West . Mr. McDavid why not try to use your speed as a can opener instead of a hammer. KISS and remember the basics when things get tough the give and go is your Friend. No worries,youve got this.
