@Canucks de Vancouver

1. I was hoping for "Meaningful Games in March", but it's looking more & more like I'll be checking the Tankathon Lottery Odds.

  2. The players like Sherwood who signed here thinking we were on the cusp of something big must be regretting that rn.

In hell, everyone must be a Canucks fan! Brutal.

  3. Silovs wasn't good… he was great. Did everything we needed him to do. And EP40 is an absolute joke right now, get him off the ice.

  4. EP40 wasn’t to blame tonight, sure he missed the breakaway but that’s not why we lost. I was looking more at guys like Boeser, Myers, and even Hronek. Boeser has been just as quiet as EP40. Myers is in his old form again. Hronek is not at his best when he is the #1 defender. The worst two things I saw tonight though that killed us? Passing for one. I would estimate that only about 10% of our passes were tape to tape. The rest were either behind the guy, in the skates of the guy, or way out in front. The second thing was shooting the puck in to guys. We gave them so many blocks on a silver platter that our shots couldn’t make it through.

  5. Silvos played great. Petterson at least looked like he was trying. Myers and Forbort were terrible. Doesn't like like the forward lines have chemistry. They were decent against Vegas.

  6. Need to carry puck in and get shots on net. Still need a power center forward. Shots must increase. Was backup goalie you gotta test other goalie to make saves.

  7. I don’t get it we were playing great before the break. 4 Nations screwed our momentum, but I guess it was worth it to beat USA lol

  8. Tocchet's defensive style of play isn't working. Kuzmenko (40 goal man) at one point, reduced to a non-entity, and Pettersson now a non-entity……Miller scored because he didn't listen to Tocchet (hence why he was benched multiple times and left the team) — Tocchet is the common denominator here. Time to move on.

  9. Finally a nice refreshing non bias reaction. No offense to nuckhead but he's kinda getting a little too homer for me

  10. What do you expect when Canucks shifted cap space from offence to defence trading JT away and improving the D. Without Hughes atm, the only plan is to win 1 goal games hockey. Only 4 games left til the deadline, the next week is make or break to see if Canucks are sellers or not.

  11. $11.6 million for a manchild. No leadership without Quinn Hughes and he's hurt because he is the offense.

  12. I'm an EP hater currently but he hasn't even been that bad recently especially for being the only talented forward on the entire team, Tocchet just doesn't know how to coach hockey in 2025

  13. Obviously, EP40 is having a lot of challenges with his knee. Tendonitis has been mentioned, which is not going to improve without significant rest and, most likely, will recur throughout his career.

What is up with our other forwards? Especially, Brock Boeser. As he is most likely going to be on the market, why isn't he working to get his numbers up? Hurt? Uninspired? Idk.

Yeah, the shots on goal, or lack thereof, is concerning. It seems indicative of a lack of effort; not being hungry enough.

At least, in Lankinen & Silovs, we have two pretty good goalies. As well, we have a defensive group that is an improvement over what we started the season with.

  14. At this point I think even the management has lost its way! How many players has Allvin signed only to trade away just a short time later. I get that Meyers is well liked, but at this point he's making far more mistakes than even Soucy. Why is he not riding the pine? I think Tocchet has lost the room as he's not following through with benching those that aren't performing. Hoglander was the whipping boy, but it appears that Soucy has now taken his place. Unless the rumors are true and Soucy is about to be traded. Regardless, there's no way in hell Hughes re-signs here with the way this team has been performing. They won't win many games being outshot by a 2-1 margin. Signing Pettersson to that hefty contract while he was already struggling was a huge mistake. 11.6 million to miss the net while being only five feet away has become the norm which is unacceptable. I've been a fan since '75 and my only wish is to see a cup here before I go.

  15. Who would’ve thought Šilovs, in his first NHL start since November, would perform better than almost any teammate of his would end up performing? That game was oh-so-close on the scoresheet although it sure didn’t feel that way given the shot differential (way more taken by the Utah Hockey Club than the Canucks) what time the Canucks spent in their own zone.

  16. Ive been defending Petey for over a year HOPING he will have a breakthrough even though in my heart I knew we would get here … In his defense he makes some really smart plays that go unnoticed and its not all about putting up points but my god…. I've never seen a player NOT move when he should as often as him.. I'm over it. Move him … and Myers…. Myers is involved is SO MANY game changing penalties and errors that result in goals against… Last year was a hopeful year … and as usual we are on pace to see another 6 years of nothing if the right moves aren't made … its not about who we get , its about who we move. Moving Miller wasnt the wrong move , it was HALF OF THE RIGHT MOVE… go all in and move Petey. The team will be better built around neither of them.

  17. That’s the Canucks for ya, they have no idea how to deal with success. Last year they were great, then this year they implode.

  18. Fans complain about petey and say the whole team isn't creating enough offense. If the whole team isn't getting chances then it isn't petey fault. Tocchet needs to get this team going and adapt. This team last season showed they can get goals

  19. The Canuck will not make the playoff and even for the next 10 years. Signing Ellias was a RIP OFF.

  20. A 25.5% playoff probability (as per MoneyPuck) already reflected their struggles, and with no reinforcements, that number could decline further. The remaining schedule includes tough matchups against playoff-contending teams like the Kings, Jets, and Stars, making it even harder to secure wins.
Unless secondary players step up in a big way, the Canucks are at serious risk of missing the postseason. Would you like a deeper dive into potential roster moves or tré leadline options?

  22. Alvin needs to get fired. This swedish player bias is so evident its not even funny. Soft weak as ep40 trash as fuck. Not a franchise player

  23. Brock Boeser didn't get me a goal. I thought the Canucks could handle the Mormon hockey team. I was wrong. I can see why Deaner cheers for American hockey teams and lashes out on Oiler fans now. There's nothing to cheer for in Vancouver.

  24. Boeser is a ghost. He is pathetic. The Canucks must not pay him a dime more than he is making now for a contract extension. Two players in him and EP40 combining for 29 goals and $18 million is unacceptable.

  25. No star power, Petterson a no show all season long. Boeser looks a bit lost without JT Miller. Myers sinking after all his undisciplined penalties. We deserved to lose, these players seem not to care if they miss the playoffs. 😡

  26. This is Tochett hockey. Boring low event tight checking, dump and chase. Even when winning do you really want to pay to see this? Yikes

  27. if petey plays a full 82 game season (& he can't this season already missed some games, so most he can do is 76) his exorbitant salary of 11.6 mill /divided by 82 games = 141,000$ /per game! (even more if its only 76 = 153,000$ USD
…so you gotta ask yourself, did petey earn his 153,000$ this game? (& ask that question after every game

  28. That was a sad game, we need change. But on the other hand who actually knew that you get a penalty for playing the puck with a broken stick??!!
