It takes some special intent to hit a 6-6 guy in the head with your shoulder at least several strides after the puck has already left that players stick and the player was no longer in the immediate play. Rass was not leaning over a huge differential amount to account for that hit to the head as being exactly accidental, it had intent, with the charge and the lifting of the body to reach that contact. As usual, the NHL players safety board is looking out for everybody except the players safety. 3 games is a joke.
If this is how it’s going to be from now on, then the Wings need to find themselves another Kronner to “unconscious” opposing players for some “on ice” retribution and not rely on the NHLPSB. Big time hitters like Kronner are especially useful against talentless hacks like Gudas who spend all their time on the ice attempting to put top players out with injuries. The Wings need to find another Kronwall, defensively sound and a Hunter on the ice.

We need an enforcer in Grand Rapids that we can call up to take care of things like this the next time we play teams that do this kind of stuff.
Have replay on dirty hits and enforce them after review.

Zegras is a punk. He’s generously list at 185, so he plays dirty and won’t fight when called on it. I guess he drank from Perry’s water bottle.
Problem with it is the redwings do not benefit whatsoever for their guy being injured maliciously. Should’ve been a 5 minute power play and a game misconduct. I couldn’t care less about a suspension.
