Sloppy play most of the night, lucky to get the win
Matthews will be fine. He's obviously bothered by something. But last sequence in OT was great effort and Matthews part. Dug the puck out of the corner, hustled to the blueline to push that puck forward to Marner. I think Matthews will turn it around.

Agree, Stolarz, Marner, Rielly & Robertson played their hearts out tonight.
I think Robertson could be a valuable trading asset. Lots of teams could plug him into their Top-6 and have him play 20 minutes a night instead of 12 minutes. And, he'd probably score 20+ goals per season. But, if the Leafs give up Robertson they need to figure out a new plan for depth scoring.

Regarding Matthews – I think it's pretty clear at this point that he is playing injured, the Leafs have tried multiple times to rest him & it hasn't worked and likely will require offseason surgery. If it was a surgery he could recover from in a month and the Leafs could be confident he would be at 100% at the end of that month I think they would've done it in season and used that cap space at the deadline. If Sammy listened a little closer to Kyper instead of playing on his phone, I think he would have the same take on the situation. 🤣
