As a Canucks fan I'm happy to see that Miller is thriving on his new team, and I'm happy with some of the additions we made this year. But Petterson needs to step up and be a leader on this team especially while Hughes is injured, we have some of the best goaltending in the league but we can expect our goalies to make 40 saves every game so we can sneak out a 1-0 win. We need scoring!
What else is new? Canucks always disappoint.

theres clearly something up mentally and considering how shit this community is with mental health (despite the pretending act) it definitely makes me sad. hope petterson can come back and be his best self again! it sucks to see a player hit that mental wall
Honestly I’m all for benching petterson for multiple games till he gets in shape it’s controversial but I think it’s needed.
The Canucks should have kept Miller and traded Petterson; however, it shows the age we are living in when the fragile, overly-sensitive hockey player is preferred and given preferential treatment over the spirited hockey competitor and veteran. Is the NHL going DEI in player-retention decisions as well? Congrats. to the Ranger fans as you chose to sign a veteran with real Compete!

I'm a Canucks fan I love Miller is going back to the team that drafted him and doing well. Pettersson is honestly souring for me. I think he's not as good as we think he is.

Canadian fans are some of the worst especially when a player isn't up to par. European players often have a hard time with the media because they are relentless and some of the most unintelligent beings in the industry… That being said, Pettersson has great potential, and has one of the best wrist shots in the league he just needs his confidence back. If Canucks drop him and cut their losses instead of invest in him guaranteed he is coming back with 90-100 point season. And that is another thing, Canucks org is absolutely awful. Seeing this morning that Boeser is frustrated because of no talks of his extension up this July 1…
We will see what Miller does in New York. His problem in Van wasn't that he wasn't putting up numbers, his problem was his chemistry with the locker room, and it wasn't the first time he was involved in dysfunctional locker room. Don't matter how many points he puts up, what is THE most important aspect of a cohesive team is the locker room… Someone like Miller will always be good, but never part of a team that wins it all…
Miller's been playing extremely well, I would say. Exshtremely well, I'm not sure.
I really want Elias Petterson to work out as a Canucks fan, because we are kind of cooked if he doesn't step up. He needs to see a sports psychologist, or better yet, the Canucks should send him up to Northern BC with only basic survival supplies and force him to man up a little.

Regardless of how well Pettersson is doing, Miller seems like a temperamental brat who needs to grow up, don't know how much I can respect a player that actively tears down his teammates no matter how much he scores.
Pettersson was coddled under Boudreau which in a way made him spoiled and mentally soft. The fact he came into camp out of shape shows his level of immaturity.

The coach is the issue and always has been. Time to bring in a coach that has a winning record and not one that is just "available". He has taken a team the was all around good and built a system around 1 players style. JT is a great player but a shitty teammate and that is no league secret and while he is a good player to build entire offensive system around his play 1) fead his already large ego 2) doomed the skill first players. The issue JT had with Petey is his physical play, but Petey has and will never be a forechecker, so JT gets mad that he can't play his style of game and the rift is allowed to grow. Tochett needs to be put back on the shelf and a new younger coach that understands to just let these guys play is needed.
