My biggest complaint about a lot of sports insiders etc., around trades is they have little to no imagination. Luke Schenn again? Ryan O'Reilly again? Leafs would need a major move dumping a major roster player to free up cap space for the type of impact player they seem to be suggesting. A third line center though, why break the bank. Also trading futures for very old veterans I don't think is our solution. Team is slow enough, and our D is very, very slow.

O'Reilly didn't want to be here the first time, as for Luke Schenn couldn't get out of Toronto fast enough. Why would we want to waist money, prospects, and time on guys that clearly don't see a future here in Toronto?
ok so we had schenn twice before we had oreilly once before it didnt work out when we had them why would we need to go back to that again like been there done that why is it the leafs feel the need to aquire guys who are well beyond there playing years they need young talent like laughton or a brayden schenn type player to fill the middle

as a huge Tampa fan, Stamkos at center is a liability. Almost to the point of Bedard. The avalanche should be trying to trade for him to play on mackinnons line

I'd like to see Brayden Schenn join the Leafs. He would be a great bottom 6 forward in Toronto. He's a Stanley Cup winner too. Great
What about someone like Olli Maatta or Robert Bortuzzo right-hand D's might not cost as much as a Shenn i know Bortuzzo has the mileage on him but plays a similar game as Shenn, Maatta maybe not as physical as those two. Just a thought from a Habs Fan.
