#NHL #RONHEXTALL #HOCKEYHISTORY #NHLGOALIES #FLYERS #PHILADELPHIAFLYER

Lifelong Flyers fan. My dad took me to see them in the '70's and '80's. I was at the Campbell Conference Finals game in '87 against Montreal when Hextall went after Celios. The Spectrum was an awesome place. In '85, the Oilers' fans chanted during the Cup Finals "Drive a Porsche, Hextall!" after Pelle Lindbergh's death that year.
Hextall was always entertaining to watch, but when I saw him go after Chelios with his tongue hanging out of his mouth and nearly frothing, it seemed there was something wrong with him and the respect went out the window. Slashing and attacking players didn't make him a great goalie, it made him an idiot and a liability. That's not hockey, that's psycho
my eyes 😵💫
What a legend!
Vs Chris Chelios, He was pretty pissed off!
How is Ron Hextall number not retired? only crap Philly would do something that shameful
In my opinion the Flyers haven't had a truly elite goalie since Hextall. At 296 wins had he not been suspended twice he would easily have over 300 wins.
You seem to have forgotten a goalie that was dreaded more than Hextall. He was feared by a lot of forward and managed 4 Stanley Cup championships, and unlike Hextall, he didn't need to get mad to become vicious and dangerous. I give you, Billie Smith with his axe of a hockey stick, he could and have put many a forward on the injury list.
Hax-Stal ! – Gotta Love It
I loved Ron Hextall! Talk about tough!

The only reason I clicked on this link is to downvote your video. What an idiotic title. What an idiotic premise. Just wow.
