These last couple games are the true Mild this season. They punched way above their weight early in the year, now injuries and playing to their actual talent level has resulted in more appropriate looking games for what the team currently is. This is a bubble team, at best, masquerading as a playoff team.

Most important win of the season so far. Yes we had some breaks in our favor-Minnesota missing some keys guys,& on back 2 back.(but how many times this year could you say the same about the AVS? We aren't 100% healthy but last 2 games-about as close as we've been all season-knock on wood) But that's why this was all but a must win to tie them up in points. (granted 1 game in hand for them still). AVS mostly dominated processwise. And to do it on a night when McKinnon,& Makar are fine but only 1 pt each. Guys not on the top line,& top dcorp really led the way-which made it even a better sign.
Last 2 games you see why I always say Nichuskin might be our most irreplaceable player-which is crazy to say-in a vacuum on a team-with 2 other guys who are top 5 players on the planet. But his versatility & greatest strengths so obviously solidify some of the overall rosters biggest weaknesses. Both Ball arena tennant's get important wins vs good (granted not great) teams. Nuggets stop the Pistons 8 game win streak with a good road win. (& Memphis lost)Even throw in #6 ranked DU hockey gets an important conference win…great night in Denver sports. To see all those Wild fans leaving the arena sad is priceless!
Kyllington's best game of the year. If he can play like that for the playoffs, I like the Avs D Core depth a lot better.
