To everyone crying about the GM being a mo'ro'n for giving EP40 the $11.6M contract, hindsight is 20/20. GM wasn't wrong at the time contract was given. No one could have predicted such a dramatic decline in production.
Ok, so Petey is under-performing..yes..just like every single player not named Huges this year. He is given no help..Miller goes to the Rangers and is playing well…look at the linemates he has, and the rest of the top 6 over there..they may have had a down year, but thats a GOOD team, the talent is on a different level. Whereas , the Canucks are a mediocre team generally, that had an absolute unicorn of a season.
When will we actually try to build a contender? Or are we still going to tread water for a few years again, just with another management regime?
We can't let EP40 go at this time. We will not get value back. The Canucks will not go far in the playoffs this year, if they even make it. Let's see what next year brings, with a (hopefully) rejuvenated EP40.
