Oilers should flip Bouchard to a team in need of an offensive defensemen…Buffalo? And get a big strong smart mobile defender to play with Ekholm. We can’t afford Bouchard at 9 or 10 million a year…deal him for what we need…another youngish big strong smart Ekholm!
This adds much needed grit and toughness to our forwards group. Keep Kane and add 1 more tough player that can play regularly in the lineup….possibly Olesiak from Seattle. That would be a great start to change in Edmonton. Our team is way to soft. Our forwards in general at small / soft and slow.
I’m genuinely concerned that we might be a early out in the playoffs. We have 2 players in their prime that are the best in the NHL but our upper management have no clue when it comes time to sign players that are supposed to be secondary scoring. Calling out Henrique / Brown / Yanmark / Arvedsson / Skinner / Podkolzen. That’s 2 full lines doing next to nothing when the team is struggling! I guess they get to comfortable watching McDavid and Driseidle every night! All my comments come because I care about our team! Go oilers go! Players need to play much better every game all game!
