Seems to me like the moves at this deadline, or lack thereof, are a pretty clear indication that management does not believe in this year's team to make a deep run.
The team has been absolutely miserable on offense since the start of the calendar year, and he has done nothing to fix it.
Nicest way that I can say it – if he's not willing to spend his assets to improve this team, I'm not going to spend my assets to come see it in person.

Look at the way he shuffles around like a kid that got caught – and he did get caught. He got caught NOT DOING HIS JOB THIS SEASON. it has been obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes that the Devils needed top bolster their bottom 6 since November. Fitzgerald traded a pick for a player that was on waivers twice this season. He paid for something he could have gotten for free because he wasn't doing his job and his second in command, the wholly inept Kate Madigan, has never played hockey in her life. Fire this ENTIRE front office. Including Martin Brodeur. What an embarrassment. If I were Hischier I would ask to be traded if Fitz isn't fired. This team will go NOWHERE with him as GM. I'm doubtful they are gonna make the playoffs this year.

Trades should have been made in January and February, not at the trade deadline when you overpay. Devil fans are not happy with the direction of this team.
