Mismanagement is right!!! what happened Conny !!!!???
Nobody needed it.
Is it Halloween guys?
Why eat up drafts and cap space for rentals and seasoned vets? I kind of agree with Warrener…if we get in there is kind of an 04 vibe. If not well, all contracts are in place, for those expiring we have time. Wranglers looking good, goaltending tandem also good if not fucking great, tons of cap space, we have a GM that has done well so far. Let's see where it goes.
Do you think 1.45 Canadian dollar had something to do with it…….
I think focus will be more on offseason than right now
Theyll do something in the off season, we already made our moves this season.
They should have moved Kadri and Andersson. This one s going to sting when the Flames miss the PO's by one or two points (I'd love to be wrong).
It's going to hurt even more next year if Kadri's production falls off a cliff.
It seemed like teams were having to eat multiple years which would take up a retention slot next year. Limits your moves next year in a better draft year.
Same thing we’re asking in Vancouver. Perhaps Canadian owners are worried about the financial situation in Canada and are pocketing savings this year.
I don;t blame owners one bit for cheaping out on what they ice. Edwards is as cheap AF as they come. That cap isn't anything else than Flames ownership thumbing their noses at players who mail it in like Sharangovich and Huberdope do after signing huge contracts. Owners should be screaming for contract modifications and performance based contracts. The NHL is boring AF now, Calgary a team that tops the list. A team where talent comes to die, and a horrible place for cultivating it.
All that $ and prospects and we keep bums like sharangovich and pospisil, was Conroy scared or something?
Problem is the delusional owner and Don baloney.
No clue what Don Maloneys job is. Dude is a dinosaur that has accomplished nothing.
It’s easy Ryan. With potential tariffs and a weak dollar maybe Edwards didn’t want to spend the money.
What free agents are available this summer? $20 million is a nice chunk of change.
If you look at modern sports teams, cap space will always be a commodity.
