  1. Must be nice to have a job where you can take off as much time as you want because ‘your head’s not in it” when a relative passes. I got barely two weeks and had to use PTO to cover it.

  2. Don't understand no movement and no trade clauses. Players have a union. You're either a free agent or you're not. Kinda siding with management.

  3. PWHL should really consider expanding into Buffalo. Rejoin that market.

  4. Brind'Amour's coaching style might turn a few players off. Raleigh/Durham is a great area if you're familiar with it. Very diverse with lots of transplants from all over the world. So if you like Carolina BBQ or Thai or Indian…plenty of places to eat. Big college presence with Duke, UNC and NC State. Sure it's very subdivision heavy with a downtown core that's not very exciting but the taxes aren't bad and the team has maintained good support.

Places like Nashville, Columbus and Carolina just don't scream traditional NHL. Florida and Texas get the advantage of zero income taxes and bigger metro areas. California is expensive but it's Los Angeles or the Bay Area. Raleigh can't compete with that.

  5. As much as I would like to have Ingram in net for Utah, I am really glad that he is taking the time he needs. Hockey has a culture that you play through hurts and injuries. This says that mental health is just as important as physical, and if you can’t play then it’s ok if you don’t. Take your time Ingram and come back 100%.

  6. That Scepters jersey is Horrible OMG. 14 year old boys would spank them…..OMG LOL

  7. My condolences to Connor Ingram…. however, shouldn't every pro athlete go to EAP because of their addiction to money….just sayin'

  8. That's fine, we'll take Stankoven and four draft picks, and use our cap room this offseason on a UFA with a little more courage. Lazy guys who don't backcheck can't cut it in Carolina. My ten year old son plays heavier than Rantanen.

  9. I don’t get how Gourde and Bjorkstrand are worth two firsts and a second but Boeser isn’t worth a first

  10. Nothing wrong with Carolina
    The problem sits in Washington
It's a must for team from Canada to win Stanley Cup
And Marner as a local Ontario is a good as it gets with Leafs

  11. Ingram making it known that we shouldn’t jump to judgments on the players assistance program. Good on him

  12. Hurricanes coach is too defensive that's why attacking players don't wanna go there, same with Tortorella in Philadelphia

  13. If Marner does a "Tavares" and walks out the door, and the Leafs get NOTHING in return…

Toronto fans will never forgive him.

  14. TEG video suggestion: Shannon wears the Toronto Sceptre jersey while lip-sync singing the Taylor Swift song where she wore that in the video.

  15. 6:24 A bit of nitpicking: Calling Dallas and Florida "odds-on favourites" is not the correct term to use in this case. "Odds-on" actually has a very clear definition in statistics: It means that the odds are in favour of an event to happen, i.e. it's more likely (>50%) to happen than not. Obviously it cannot be the case that two different teams are more likely to win a tournament than not. Usually, no team is anywhere near a 50% chance to win (unless you're talking about when they are already in or near the final(s). Dallas and Florida are simply the favourites to win, meaning they are regarded as the most likely teams to win but not more likely to win than not.

  16. Well, the Jets have never been considered cup favorites. I will just have to settle for cup contenders.

  17. Ya, we got Mikka but Ott will let in two softies per game and they won't get past the Av's. It will stay this way until we get a more consistent net minder. In goaltending Dallas is near the top of the league but it's the same every year- Ott get's leaky when the chips are down.

  18. I understand that Marner has the right to test FA, but the Leafs organization has fired coaches & GMs to cover up for his playoff failures. He wants to be treated like a champion, but has done nothing to earn it. Fans are within their rights to be pissed. Good on Treliving testing all possibilities, that’s his job.

  19. Hope Marner is planning on going to market and would be willing to go to Chicago(I know unlikely) for a good pay raise. Also excited to see how Levshunov can handle the NHL level of play. Other than last nights game things have been looking up for the Hawks.

  20. No one wants to go to Carolina…why does the NHL waste a franchise in Carolina? That team is worth double in Houston, or, and with a competent ownership group, Atlanta or Phoenix. No surprise that many people went to the championship hockey game. Just like basketball in Indiana and football in Texas.

  21. If Marner was planning to leave, agreeing to a deal would actually have helped; getting an 8 year deal for the money he wants, which the Leafs may not offer him.
If he stays, he should not be payed a dollar more than Nylander!

  22. It may not be Alvin’s fault, but the fact that we were the only team that got nickel and dimed is such a Canucks moment we shouldn’t have been surprised

  23. I would love it if the PWHL expanded to Plymouth Michigan and became the Plymouth Whalers and brought back that logo and played out of that rink. I saw a game from the womens world championship there years ago and the rink is only used for the US Development league team and I think one of the local high schools.

  24. I never have a problem with any player “testing the market”. What does leave a bad taste in my mouth is when they KNOW they are leaving (see John Tavares) and leave the teams that drafted them, nurtured them, compensated them well, and supported them, without being upfront with management.

  25. Either Marner didn’t want to move during the season or didn’t want to go to Carolina or he actually wants to stay in Toronto.Hey,the Buds gave him his NMC,they gave him all the power, they can’t blame him for how things went.

  26. Canes resigned Aho, Svechnicov, Jarvis. Saying stars won’t stay is dumb. Canes screwed up Guentzel. He wanted to stay. Rantanen was offered way more than Dallas. He didn’t want to stay. Fine, see ya.

  27. Interest in Hockey in Seattle has exploded since we got the Kraken. I would be surprised if we didn't push for an expansion team here. Ever since they visited here for the takeover tour, expansion is something that is basically mentioned any time someone talks about hockey in any way. The biggest issue we have it seems is figuring out where their games will be hosted. If we want an expansion team to have the max market and put them in Seattle proper, we would need to build some new space, and building stuff here right now is next to impossible.
