I think Oiler fans need to start managing their expectations down the stretch. We are witnessing a real free fall from grace right now. This may get worse before it gets better. This lack of chemistry, lack of cohesiveness, and lack of trust and belief in each other is rampant up and down the line up. No one is working together. At some point, unfortunately, the coach is the only one that is paid to take the blame. Coaches know what they sign for when they sign on the dotted line. When teams spiral downward and gravity starts to take over, coaches know they are one step closer to getting relieved of their duties. Knoblauch is dangerously close to being fired.
As an oilers fan, I will honestly say that our team is in trouble in the postseason – our forwards not numbered 97 or 29 are producing nothing. All ghosts, it's scary. Yeah, Frederic and Kane may help, but unless the forwards miraculously start scoring, along with our poor Defense and goaltending, we're massively screwed.
Knob acting like woody with not punishing players and rewarding ones who play bad ! Bouch needs to be third pair and off the pp
Where's Hyman this year ?
Wow you better do some research craig cause you're embarrassing yourself. League avwrage sv % is .901 and skinner is a .896….. You're whole teke is ridiculous as well
You're not wrong that they absolutely need Ekholm back but Bouchard is an absolute cancer defensively.
Why does Button look like Kramer from Seinfeld tonight?
Usual crap goaltending. Bouchard lazy arse plays
Oilers are a bunch of spoiled wet noodles like little fagets on skates
Craig button has to be the biggest dum dum on the network. He always complains and makes predictions that never come true. Buddy traded Iggy…. He knows a lot about hockey.
The Oilers might make the playoffs but they won't get past the 1st round, playing like this.
Thanks Craig
Remember when Button said Nylander wasn't an NHLer? 🤣🤣🤣
Oilers DNA is they wear out a coach after 12-16 months and need a new coach. It’s the culture and players fault. Not the coach. Just like it wasn’t Woodcrofts fault but everybody thought he was the problem
The oilers may miss the playoffs at this rate. All we need is for the Canucks and Flames to play consistent hockey and they can leap frog the Oilers
McDavid and Draisaitl's backs are broken, Spinal, from carrying their team all these years.
Censorship allows for the creation of a False Narrative which prevents Positive Change….cope.
Skinner did not take the Oilers to the Finals, the Oilers has 3 Players playing at a historic pace that carried them there despite skinner being one of the worst goalies in the playoffs, was still spotting a sub .900sv in the Finals and once again this season. Craig Button needs to calm down, Skinner is the worst starting goalie in the NHL. stop glazing him for no reason. his lateral movement is horrible, puck tracking horrible, non existent glove hand. Oilers management single handedly blowing prime years of Mcdavid and Draisaitl like these type of players come along every 5 years.
Hahaha 🤣 Buttons the Clown 🤡
Did Buttons the Clown 🤡 go through a car wash with the window open 😁?
That hair 😂
Button's the 🤡 couldn't afford the rinse cycle at the car wash .
His hair looks very soapy
The idea that Stuart Skinner is good just because he happened to be the starter for a team that was one win away from a Cup is ludicrous. The Avs won a Cup with an average goaltending tandem in 2022. The Flyers nearly won in 2010 with Leighton and Boucher.
I'm all good with Craig Buttons. He knows what he's talking about. As for the Oilers don't put too much blame on Knoblauch. Bowman and Jackson tore big holes in the roster Ken Holland built that came within two goals of winning the Cup. Those holes have names: Broberg and Holloway. Broberg jumped into the lineup in place of Desharnais and added speed and puck moving ability. Holloway was an excellent winger alongside Leon. Both of them are doing well on a mediocre Blues team. Bowman was trying to find 'wiggle room cap space' to make additions at the deadline. Why didn't he worry about finding 'wiggle room cap space' to keep the team's two best young players both of whom were first round draft picks and were instrumental in the Oilers run to game seven of the finals? Nah. We won't match the offer sheet given them by the Blues. We'll let them go for free. Oilers look old and slow. That's because they are old and slow. Maybe that's an additional reason why they are struggling on defense.
This Oiler team is made more of a bunch of individuals than a cohesive group, and just over a month before the 2025 NHL postseason begins, that’s not good for them.
Sorry. Craig Button. My bad.
