Capable of an upset yes. Likely….i mean as a sens fan i wanna believe but i think game 1 of the series is gonna be tone defining. I wont say if they lose they are dead but if they get run outta the building thats likely it
as a Habs fan, Sens look good! i said they would make the playoffs 20 games ago and i think i'm going to be right about my prediction.

Not bad insight other than the Sogaard take. Sogaard hasn’t proven himself as a NHL caliber goalie. Leevi Merilainen will have the back up job next year.
I think Ottawa is pretty capable of beating every team except Florida, but the wild card against them would be Brady – I can see him entering Super Saiyan mode against his brother. But for a few years now, we’ve struggled mightily against Florida.
Tampa I think we can beat… I think poorly timed and very unfortunate injuries down the middle had us in our heads during our Florida trip, and I see now that the skid before and after the 4N break was an aberration. This team has overall been trending upwards. It’s great to see. We can certainly beat Toronto, that history of them beating us in the playoffs is from 20+ years ago – no one from that team is on the ice. It’s a clean slate. If we lose that series, it’s cause we were too eager to have a Battle of Ontario in the playoffs, and beat ourselves.
We always play the Caps well, they have always played us well because we’ve been climbing the standings, sure we haven’t won, but every game has been very tightly contested. I believe that, if we can go the distance with the Caps – and not get overwhelmed at the start – we can beat them in 6 or 7.
At least we don’t face Buffalo in the playoffs, we would be swept (seriously, WHY?!) – it’s embarrassing. It would also be nice if the Sens could respect the Habs enough to even try.

I think this stretch has shown that the team has bought into that tight, defensive play. Which will hold well for the playoffs. Also the players being excited and all in at this time of year, could likely spike and help them progress through the playoffs.

This team has proven that they can hold its own with the best in the league. Most important thing is that they play all 60 minutes, and that they play their game consistently.

Pinto is the Sens top scorer since Jan 1st. Not to mention the second line has been dominant so far
Our next backup is definitely going to be Merililanen he's a huge reason why the Sens are in a 1st wildcard spot he saved our season when Ullmark was injured and has proved to us that he's got what it takes to play at NHL level. Really hope he becomes our new backup. Soogard is just not a consistent enough goalie he needs more time in the AHL before coming over to the NHL.
Mads has thoroughly been passed by Leevi, who will get a multi year one way in all likelihood. They may even dump Mads since he has a one way
I would not have the Sens making the playoffs and the Bruins missing the playoffs this year on my bingo card.
I think Ottawa could upset any team in the East, but they don't have the depth to handle more than a couple injuries to key players, as we saw with their most recent 5 game losing streak, or even having key players go cold. When they're playing well, they can take anyone, but a lot will have to go right for them if they face Washington or Florida.

As a young sens fan I remember the day the sens lost the playoffs I was heartbroken as a kid but now as an adult it’s been an amazing journey I just knew at some point sens would make the playoffs in the 2020’s I hope it’s this year I’m slowly getting bored of the same matchup and I want to see something new but seeing my favourite hometown team being in the wildcard it’s been a burst of faith they’re having fun out there like young teen adults they don’t look sad or anything I think sens have a very bright future with so many youngsters and really good veterans. But it’s just a matter of time and hopefully the sens pickup some great players when the veterans retire cause they only have a little bit years in the tank vs the youngsters they got plenty.
