I’m frustrated as a wings fan. Seems like Yzerman doesn’t want to invest in this roster. 3 straight years of no deadline moves, and the last 2 years they’ve been 1 point away. Heading into year 7 with no playoff appearances….
fact that Yzerman did nothing to improve the defense at the trade deadline is a disgrace.
I think people forget that players have to want to come here for one and its a 10yr build so chill .

If you think about it, when the Wings were on the Stanley Cup Run – Stevie Y Wasn't Really the No. 1 Center like he was back in the 80's. It's the same with Larkin.
It's better this way, they wouldn't get far in the playoffs.
Yzerman needs to go get Gudas from Ducks using Rasmussen and a number one draft choice and sign Bennett this off season FA. He won’t though.
Everyone laughed at me when I said years ago Detroit should pick up Mathew tkachuk and build around a gritty player like him. Dylan Larkin will never lift the Stanley cup above his head as a red wing captain.
It’s been 3 seasons of “playoffs or bust”. Larkins prime is nearly wasted.
Trade Ben and Larkin and more. I love Red Wings but in my eyes. Mr D-boss Larkin is not a 1st line center and I believe Mo should be wearing the C.
Larkin was put on the 4th line at the 4 nations face off by the final game he made the top line …. And with his 28 goals and 13PP goals I’d say he’s definitely a go to guy

They don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. Poor defense and poor goaltending. This team doesn’t have any heart and keeps getting pushed around physically. They rarely drop the gloves and if they do it’s ends poorly for them.

Wings are soft starting with their captain. Was hoping Y would trade him instead of resigning him, last season. Wings will never win a cup with Larkin as Capt., and I know you’re not supposed to say NEVER.
The Red Wings would need to win probably 12-13 games in their 16 remaining games to get in.
