Look. Berube’s not the right coach. Game has change since berube won. Not every coaching change is the right one.
Sammy is so clueless lol . The reason why we have struggled as of late is 3 main reasons . 1, our defensive game has been awful , there coverages just aren’t there . 2, there goaltending has been subpar to say the least since 4 nations . Lastly , our special teams have been horrible as of late . I think getting rid of dewar wasn’t the best move . Our PK was top 10 first half , it’s now one of the worst in league . Get Matthews off the PK.
Leafs stopped playing Berube team defence structure back in November. What the hell happened? Guys blowing the D-zone, failed stretch passes, static in the neutral zone, recycling the puck in the D-zone, failed breakouts, wingers wayyyy too high in D-zone, missed defensive assignments, puck stare, etc.
Of course it affects marner . They basically offered to trade him . He’s been the scape goat for years from the fans for there playoff mishaps . He looks exhausted and stressed out , I would start resting him more. Same with Matthews he’s obviously hurt .

I am glad ppl are starting to talk about it. This coaching is not serving this team. Yes, this style Berube has been ramming down their throats is a necessity to know how to play come the spring. But ideally you can play more than one way. I still believe great teams are like Swiss Army knives. They can adapt and are versatile, can switch styles to take advantage of opponents weaknesses, etc. As Kyper alludes, the gaps are way too big. But even if you shrink the distances, and make that first pass. It is very predictable, the forwards don’t have momentum, nor much space…….. it’s also really difficult to go hard to the front of the net when you play behind the net so often

One of the ways to quell all the Marner negative contract chatter, is to maybe stop bringing it up. The more you guys discuss it to the point of ad nauseum is to just stop talking about. It really is that simple, if people don't hear about it then the fans are likely to not talk about it. Some media in Toronto are just totally obsessed, so much so that even the sound of their voices now make me cringe.
You should address the fact that the Leafs' stars look depressed. No emotions when they score, just an expression of utter boredom. They will never go far in the playoffs if they don't have true passion, AS A TEAM! Love your show, cheers from Sweden
