MTL has collected 14 points in 10 games since the 4 nations cup. Not bad for a team that the entire league (and many hab fans) thought they would finish with a top 5 lottery pick. For me, I knew they would be good for 10-12 more points, given they had so many injuries last year. And given they would have young players starting to mesh and improve…I thought they will easily finish 17-18th overall, on the cusp of the playoffs. That they might be in the playoffs is playing with house money, but not shocking.
