I mean can we please have an AMEN for that pass from Leon to Connor. I mean really. Honestly I was really hoping Mikko could have gotten the Shutout. That may have shut some people up. Both goals on him weren't his fault. The next four games will be tough. Agree, if they can win 2 or 3 of the next 4 it would be great. Yes, hope for 4 but honestly take it as it comes. Great vid as always. Take care all.
Great game! I thought Barrie was having a good game until that first goal. You’d think after the first break away Barrie would learn. I was swearing Barrie’s name for the last 5 minutes of the game lol would’ve been his fault for giving Winnipeg life if they’d won.
It would be a miracle to get a slam dunk and win the next 4 games. But realistically if we can win at least 2 of the 4 games, I'm happy. The Oilers need to limit Barrie's ice time and give Bouchard more powerplay minutes. Because the give aways on the PP and him being so slow on the rush gave the Jets life in the third period.
Definitely did not think Koskinen would play that good but I’m happy he proved me wrong lol Hopefully he can bring it what ever games he’s playing of thos 4
. McD looks back to his form. Barrie on PP can shoot but a real liability for shorties. Kosi looked good and as you stated both goals were not bad goals. Keep the videos rolling.
Thanks Patrick for the review, no feed on the west coast here, makes zero sense, 2 Canadian teams playing on a saturday and only regional broadcast. The team looks great, got to love the battle level and commitment in all 3 zones playing as a 5 man unit, find it kind strange the last 2 head coaches Todd and Tip have been known for having teams that out work you, how many times did the Oil go into the desert and have Tips Yotes outwork the Oil and ultimately lose, same can be said for the Sharks under Todd as the Sharks whipped the Oil every time for yrs, Todd was famous for the quote playing inside the other teams equipment, but neither coach could get that out of the oilers on a night to night bases.
I'd hold off on the signing either coach long term until we see this group compete like this for the rest of the yr and into the playoffs, lets see how they play games 10-20 under Jay once the new coach bump effect has worn off.
Real test starts tomorrow, yes it would be amazing if they pushed the unbeaten streak to 9 but I'll take a 500 record over the next four games, got a hunch they'll beat the wild and bolts
Don't forget the Jets are known for not playing in the first 40 minutes and then using all of their energy to come back and win. You could see they weren't trying untill that last 20 minutes and that's usually their game style.
Oilers forgot to play a full 60 too! Very sloppy, lackadaisical 3rd period. Koskinen played great, and should’ve had a SO, imo, but his guys let him down. Some changes I like are that the Oilers are playing better team D, not allowing as many shots, and controlling the puck much better. Hope it continues against the Wild, and on this next long road trip.
I love what Woodcroft is doing with the Oilers. They are playing so much more as a team – and that should only improve. … One concern I have is Tyson Barry. I watched his defensive play today – it is far, far from playoff ready. If the Oil go into the playoffs with Barry in the top 4 defensemen, he's going to cost them games.
Gotta give Yamo at least an honorable mention for his goal sequence, flips it off the boards to Conner and then sprints down for the drop feed and is able to put his own rebound in for the second goal of the game.
The biggest complaints about this team were/are: Bad goaltending Bad defense Bad depth scoring
Depth scoring has improved as they've gotten more offensive opportunities. Ice time and pp time.
Defense has improved. Holding the blueline along with a strong backcheck by the forwards is making life difficult for opposing teams.
Goaltending has been better. The best defense is offense. The oilers have had the puck more and are spending a lot more time in the offense end. It's amazing how better your goalie looks when the team in front of him is working hard to limit clean zone entries and suppressing shots.
This team right now is playing similar to the way Carolina plays: Aggressively hustling all over the ice, not giving any free time and space. Consistently outshooting their opponents.

Last period had me a little nervous, luckily we pulled through 😎.
Great tempo game. The 3rd got a little dicey but pulled it out.
Honestly i was expecting to lose.. I also feel like koskinen kinda deserved a win but anyways I can’t really complain about a win

I impressed because we usually lose to the jets

Beautiful win keep it going
Freshly squeezed orange juice 😋

What's with giving up those breakaways while on the PP? That's irresponsible by Barrie.

Even with woodcroft oilers are repeating past mistakes (ie taking the foot off the gas)
Decent win from them against a team that has had our number for a while. The Jets play a good game against us.
The Oilers need killer instinct no doubt but they're playing motivated and can be said they're playing the full 60 mins, at least most games.

It will be interesting to see how oilers do in the next 4 games

8 goals allowed in 5 games.that’s incredible.
The gauntlet and expert level of games is coming. I’m nervous and excited .
I've always said Nurses are angels in disguise and fuck me, if 25 didn't prove it… That sure up goal was such a relief.

I agree… the next 4 games are going to be incredibly tough, and if we can get even 2 wins, I'd be really impressed.

Even one win in these four should be enough to get a pass.
They all started cursing around 3rd period. That’s was the issue
