And I'm confused by people saying this is coaching's fault. It's like any time the Devils fall in slump over the years it was "Fire Hynes. Fire Nasreddine. Fire Lindy." or whoever else. AT SOME POINT it's on the players to execute better.
Lazar's save was incredible but in no way should that even have happened in the first place. It's things like that that catch up and it might cost the team a playoff spot.
I'm not a hockey expert by any means but my one complaint I kept making while watching tonight is that they need to stop letting the other team hangout in front of Allen, two goals were easy tip ins im pretty sure. Can't let them camp, make them pay
Anyone else find it funny that once Keefe came here with his new system(its not the same one he used in Toronto) the offense went south. Devils are a possession team, they need to go out and find big guys who can skate and be skillful. No more small dudes. Still struggle in our zone which is the reason for alot of goals this year. Bring back the possession system, cuz im sorry but keefe is not a defensive coach and he needs to stop trying to be one. Focus on the offense more buddy. your system is terrible. He clearly wants to win games 2-1, big reason why we folded vs Flames.
Now that we're looking like the Kamala Harris Hilary Clinton Dem team that just couldn't solve out Trump at all. I'm definitely really angry now. How the heck could our Devils club lose like this? Now that the Ottawa Senators are cheating. Now we're definitely having a really huge conversation with coach Sheldon Keefe. Keefe is definitely fired. Ottawa cheated big.
Guys need that accountability I'm sick of this shit with people bitching when coach calls it like it is in the media. We just locked up kovacevic for good money and he declined noticeably as soon as we needed him to step up for that bag. I'm a huge fan of him and the devils but it is what it is we need him to step up after losing dougie and his linemate siegenthaler. But also need our offense to get more gritty as well. Not by a Longshot is kovy the problem. It's the whole collapse of a team playing like they're well ahead of the league in 1st of the division rather then the reality of being 3rd with wild carders nipping at their heels daily.
Key faceoffs have been dreadful for us as well all goddamn year. We needed a top center and didnt capitalize at the deadline.dumb shit like that comes back to haunt you in the long run especially battling for playoffs
Don't quit. Dont separate guys. I love ya'll so much. From my view looks like they played our game better than us. But we didn't quit. Got the record. Stick together. Get treatment. Prepare. Also from my view god damn ya'll entertaining. Don't lose your fight, don't lose your fire. I can see these other teams really getting up for us, were earning respect. But we have to keep our heads down and work
I actually don’t have an issue with the Kovacevic call out because it’s true. He just got a new contract with term, and he can’t take silly penalties in a tight playoff battle. Good for Coach! It is called accountability, and Johnny is a man so he should be able to take it.
Really disappointing how a team with this many first round picks that have been rebuilding for at least 8 years seems completely disjointed. Honestly don’t see a fix happening unless they tear it down and prioritize a team philosophy and fill it with guys who can not only buy in but have the heart and skill to apply it!

Kovacevic is not the problem…the talent level on the bottom 6 is the issue. To blame it on one player, publicly, is what I would call bullying. You want to call out someone, start with one of the non-performing veterans. Of course, we all know the issue is our drafting and development, which starts at the top. And an ownership group that punted on the season when Jack got hurt.
